Unlock Levels for Story Mode Stage Select

Not many turtles are fortunate enough to have Vanilla Ice record a song for them. But not many turtles know how to wield katanas, either. The turtles in question, of course, are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and you're reading this guide because you've dug on their pizza-downing, smart-talking, backspinning vibe... and now you're playing the Turtles' first game since 1994's Tournament Fighters outing. Konami's TMNT game is a stylish beat-em-up with plenty of challenge.

If you're getting your shell kicked in, we've got the guide for you. Stuffed with tips, secrets, a detailed walkthrough and info about each of the four turtle brothers, we won't stop until you're the leanest, meanest aquatic reptile this side of the sewer. Read on to pump up the T-U-R-T-L-E Power.

Unlock Levels for Story Mode Stage Select
Complete a level to unlock it in Stage Select.
Holiday Outfits
Change your system's date to either December 24th or 25th to see the turtles in Santa garb. Change it to October 31st to wear a pumpkin on your head.
Unlock Challenge Mode
To unlock Challenge Mode, defeat Story Mode with all four turtles.
Unleash the Secret of Gembu
Beat the third Dojo Stage with all four turtles to learn the Secret of Gembu maneuever. Use the move to damage everyone on the screen. You'll have three opportunities per level to use it.
Unlock Characters For Vs. Mode
Fulfill the following criteria to unlock the corresponding characters for Vs. Mode:
  • Casey Jones: Beat Stage 1 with Raphael
  • Evil Turtlebot: Beat Stage 3 with any turtle
  • Hun: Beat Stage 6 with Michaelangelo
  • Splinter: Beat Dojo Stage 3 with Leonardo
  • Shredder: Beat Shredder with any turtle
  • Oroku Saki: Beat Saki with any turtle
  • Yoshi Hamato: Beat Challenge Mode with any turtle

Enter these codes into the Password screen in the Options menu.

Different Movement Sound Effects

Go to the title screen and press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A.  The word "yeah" will appear if you put the code in right.  Story mode sounds will now change

Get Stage Select Levels

Beat a level to unlock it for Stage Select

Defeat Boss In 1st Stage

To defeat the boss in the 1st stage. First put in the code unlimited shurkins, then when you fight the boss just throw shurkins at the head or you can just do it the hard way by hitting the can at it.

Holiday Special

To get a Holiday Special you change the date on the GameCube Hardware to December 24 or 25 the turtles will have a Santa Claus hat.
If you put the date on October 31 the turtles will have a pumpkin on the head.

How to kill Qurry

In Level 5 area 4 you have to kill a monster names Qurry. First get past the stairs. There will be three portals but he comes in one. he is easy to see so go to the portal he is at and hit him twice. The trick is that he has no defense. Soon he will die and then finish the level.

The Final Showdown

You may think the last place is the helipad. Well think again because there is actually a place where you face his true form (Without his armor). To this you must beat the game with 3 of the turtles and when you get to the last level with the last one there will be an extra stage on the last act

Get the Secret of Gembu

Beat Dojo Stage #3 using all 4 turtles and you get the Secret of Gembu move which will damage all enemies on screen

Get Characters for Vs. Mode

Casey Jones: Beat Stage 1 with Raphael
Evil Turtlebot: Beat Stage 3 with any turtle
Hun: Beat Stage 6 with Michaelangelo
Splinter: Beat Dojo Stage 3 with Leonardo
Shredder: Beat Shredder with any turtle
Oroku Saki: Beat Saki with any turtle
Yoshi Hamato: Beat Challenge Mode with any turtle

New Costumes

Change your Gamecube System date to Dec 24th or 25th to get Santa outfits or October 31st for Halloween outfits.
