How to Become a Successful Hotel Manager

This hint is for the people who are struggling with this game. Like, you know, always loosing money and can't afford things and blah blah blah.

 

If you want to get a good start in the game, don't choose Romance for you Aspiration. It's pointless, trust me.

When I first started with this game, I played Kehaulin or whatever it's called to earn some cash. I kept on playing it and playing it and was soon able to buy the Art Gallery.

It's good to get a phone call from someone saying that the deck at the Casino is stacked. You can score BIG TIME there.

The best room to buy first would have to be the Art Gallery. It's cheap and it's where you'll score good profit from.

Another good thing to do is spend money on the things you REALLY need. For example, money for Fankie Fussili (OK, to tell you the truth, that's not the best thing to spend your money on, but hey, how else are you gonna get further in the game.

Also spend money on the bills first. I learned that the hard way...

Also, buy rooms first too. Get the ones that will give you profit first. For example...

1. Art Gallery (when you draw pictures)

2. Sax Lounge (when you play the keyboard)

3. Lion Lounge (same as the Sax Lounge)

4. The Jungle Guest room (customers pay daily)

5. The Deluxe Guest room (same as above)

6. The Modern Guest room (same as above)

If a customer demands you for an item, it's best to buy it for them. Otherwise they get angry and destroy the stuff in their room, make your other customers upset or leave.

If you collect stuff like gourds, fuel rods, number plates and spaceship parts, it's good to sell them, for the obvious reason...

Money...

Once you've unlocked the metal detector, make sure your sanity level is full and go into the desert and use it. You'll find some decent stuff you can sell.

If you found metal bars such as Copper, Silver and Gold, go into the Vault and proccess them for money.

If you found a mumified alien AND you've unlocked the Government Lab, play Alien Autospy or Autopsy or whatever (my spelling ain't that great sometimes). But if your no good at that game like me sometimes then just sell them for 375 simoleons.

It's good to make friends aswell, but it's even better to make BEST FRIENDS so I reckon you should choose the popularity one if you want best friends to unlock secrets.

 

Just and extra before I go, here are tips for when your interacting with other Sims...

IMPRESS

Sim: puts hand up_Your Sim: high 5

S: puts arms infront_YS: dance

S: puts arms outwards_YS: laugh

ANGRY

S: puts fist outwards_YS: beg

S: puts arms up_YS: calm down

S: puts arm infront_YS: stern yell

SAD

S: cries in hands_YS: console

S: puts both arms outwards_YS: hug

S: rubs hands together and looks up_YS: pep talk

LOOPY

S: puts hand on stomach or chest_YS: yell back

S: leans forward_YS: stop

S: puts arms outwards and turns side to side_YS: steady.

ROMANCE

S: leans forward_YS: kiss

S: hand signal by side_YS: show of bod

S: hand by ear and leans forward_YS: serenade

Invasion

Save the game you have just done then switch the game off tern it on when it says \'touch the touch screen to continue\' touch it next go on your nintendo ds settings then go on time then set the time back for 5-10 mins then touch confirm then it saves the time tern it off then tern it back on play the sims load game and a mesage will apear.

    Bear in mind the fact that Skill Points, when they appear, will remain in the same location for 8 hours. The Calendar gives the time when the Skill Point first can be discovered, but it will remain there for 8 hours. I have listed them in order according to the day of the week, but you can find them in any order. If there is only one Business Skill Point to be found at a certain time, day and location, however, you will not find another one there, once you have found the first. In other words, you cannot keep going back to the same location on the same day and time week after week to find Skill Points at the same time on the same day.

    It appears that 8.00 a.m. is a change-over time for Skill Points. A Skill Point that is in a location at 7.59 a.m. will not be there at 8.00 a.m., and a Skill Point will appear in another location at 8.00 a.m. that was not there at 7.59 a.m. This would make 4.00 p.m. another change-over time and make the 'witching hour', 12.00 midnight, the third change-over time.

    Haunted Hotel
    Entry Location:
    Lobby

    To get a haunted hotel first, buy a Cute Ghost Picture (1000 dollars). Then put it in the manager suite and admire it. Finally go out to the lobby there should be a ghost flying around. (look everywhere: on the stairs, in the walls)

     
     
     
    Refill the Alien-Killing Super-Drencher
    Don't refill the super drencher with regular water - go to the desert and go to the strange glowing water in the very back. Load this into your Drencher and the gun will definitely kill aliens.

     
     
     
    Alien Attack
    First off, save your game, and turn your DS off. Then, turn it back on. Go to the menu on your DS and switch the time FORWARDS, say a couple of hours. Then play it again. The Concierge will pop up and say something like "You time-traveling idiot! The aliens are attacking! Run!"

    DO NOT go near the aliens - they will get HUNGRY signs over their heads and try to eat you. Spraying them with your water pistol won't work either, because they will still try to eat you. Ouch.
