Super Smash Brothers

Be Captain Falcon

Complete the game on any difficulty with any character and difficulty and any # of lives then defeat Captain Falcon (reportedly you have to beat the game in under 15 minutes)

New Outfits

At the character select screen press C-Left, C-Right, C-Up or C-Down

Be Luigi

Finish the Bonus 1 "Break the Target" with all eight original characters . You can do this with Bonus 1 practice, then if you lose you can use another character for a rematch. Finish it with all 12 characters (Secret ones) to get sound check

Be Ness

Finish the game using normal difficulty with 3 lives and no continues and defeat Ness

Music Test Option

Complete Bonus 1 & 2 with all characters including secret ones and a "music test" option will be on the data screen

See Mew in the Pokeballs

Get all 4 secret characters to see Mew (randomly) in the Pokeballs. It has been reported you can get Jigglypuff and Luigi and see them too

Get Mushroom Stage

Finish the game with all original characters . Mushroom stage will be available under versus mode

Get Item Switch menu

First, you have to ENTER (not complete) a multiplayer match 100 times.  What does that mean?  It means it can take you under an hour to get the item menu!

Go into a match, and as soon as it says "GO!" Pause the game, and immediately hit A + B + Z + R (the reset command).  It will say "NO CONTEST", meaning the match was cancelled.  Do that 99 more times, or play some of the matches if you want.  Doing the "NO CONTEST" thing COUNTS AS A MATCH!  Either way, when you do it your 100th time, you get the item menu!

Get Jigglypuff (Purin in Japanese version)

Beat the game with any character

Kirby Taunt

After eating another character Press L to do his taunt

Taunt for Points

Use the L key to taunt your opponent right after he dies. If your character is taunting as the camera zooms you will get 100 points for the stance.

Borrow a Life (multiplayer)

In multiplayer if you die and you want to borrow a life from a teammate that has a extra life press A+B+Z+Start

New Outfits

Change character outfits at the character select screen by pressing the four C buttons

Have Other Peoples B Magic With Kirby

When you're Kirby swallow your opponent (B) and then you have that peron, or animals costume or head on top of you. Then all you have to do is press B to do the opponents B  move. You don't have to press down while holding B.   
   (ex. You are Kirby, you press B and swallow
  Yoshi, then you have Yoshi's head on top of you and when you press B, instead of swallowing Yoshi again you do Yoshi's B move. which is sticking out your tounge and swallowing them and makig them go into an egg.)

Unlimited lives

To get unlimited lives in super smash brothers simply to vs mode and change the game to time or time team and change the time oo and start the game you will now have unlimited lives!!

One hit knock-out

You ever wondered how to knock your best friend out of the level in just "ONE" hit!?  Well here's a way to do it.  First you start fighting, you see that weapons fall down every so often.  Wait until you see a bat.  Grab that bat, wait for your friend to come close and press >,>,A.  Your guy will power up and knock him right out of the level.  You can do this as long as you don't loose the bat.  After that, you can laugh at him.

Power hit with luigi (fire uppercut)

To do the fire uppercut u have to be luigi and get under the opponent or right next to him and do the uppercut move but at the same time push the anlog stick slightly up and the direction your opponent is faceing and you should hear a ping and if they are high in power they will get lots of damage and if they are hurt enough they will fly out of the arena. this code dose work just takes practice to get the timing right.

Item Menu (American Version)

1P: You have to be Yoshi.

2P: You have yo be Samus.

Fight on the Kirby level with the time set to
2 min. When the time is down to 5 sec., press
start and reser the game(A,B,Z,R)

Item Menu

This is the only real way to get the item menu!  Simply play 50 matches in Versus mode.
NOTES:You have to exit back to the main menu each time or it won't count.  Also, there must be a winner in the match.

Old Super Mario

This opens up a bonus level just above the 'random' stage select in multi-player mode (complete with the old SMB soundtrack too!).

Have player one be Mario, and player two be DK. Fight eachother in DK's jungle stage. Have DK win. This should open up the new stage.

Also reported as you have to beat the game with every character including the secret ones

Extra Points

The way to get extra points is to first get to the boss..then (if you can) beat him within 1:00 minit and you should get 40,000 points.......

On the one player game to get more points when you battle FOX get him killed by an ARWING
when you battle SAMUS get him killed by the ACID that comes up!

Easy hits (actually a strategy)

Here's a clue on how to get some extra hits in a team battle.
First, you need a constant hit attack that goes in the air (like the Screw Attack or Down and A in the air for some folks).
Then, the level needs a transparent platform.
Have one player hold 'em on the platform while the other gets hits. And if the victim is thrown, then it counts for the constant kicker. Yippee

Easy Pokemon win

First start a battle with someone.  Find a pokeball and throw it below you.  Quickly push R so you can grab the opponent but hold it. Pokemon will come out.  Hopefully it will be Meowth, koffing, charizard, or blastiose.  If its one of these your in luck because while your holding your opponent the pokemon will be attacking the enemy, but the enemy can't do anything.

Samus without Her Armor

Well first unlock Ness, then select versus mode and choose Samus as your opponent. This trick is easier if Samus is set as a human controlled player, so she stands still. Next, go to any place(preferably the ship) and fire the PK thunder at yourself so Ness slides into
Samus. Then right as Ness hits her, pause the game. If done correctly Samus will no longer be wearing her suit.

Different Faces

Beat the "Very Hard" setting with only 1 life and the the character you played as face will change.  These are what i've beat it with so i assume they all change!

Bonus Points in 1 Player mode

Pokemon in the Pokeballs
The Pokemon in the Pokeballs have the following powers:

Beedrill
Flies off to get the rest of its hive to attack the opponent.

Blastoise
Blasts opponent with water spray.

Chansey
Pops out and give you an item.

Charizard
Starts to breath fire in each direction.

Charmander
Just blows fire in one direction (only in Saffron City stage).

Clefable
Arrives and mimics one of the other available Pokemon's attacks.

Goldeen
Flops around trying to hurt opponent.

Hitmonlee
Comes out and flies at the opponent doing a kick attack.

Koffing
Arrives and starts blasting foul smoke in the air.

Meowth
Pops out and showers out coins that hurt opponent.

Mew
The special secret 151st Pokemon makes his appearance and flies away.

Onix
Shows up, flies up top, and then boulders drop from the ceiling.

Porygon
Rams you or the opponent (only in Saffron Citystage).

Snorlax
Pops out, flies up, and then comes down huge, hurting your opponent.

Starmie
Finds opponent and blasts them with rays.

Venusaur
Razor Leaf attack; leaves from this Pokemon fly at opponents (only in Saffron city stage).

Brutal Death

The following must be used to do this:
1. A pokeball(will work with Charizard,Maybe others)
2.a green shell
3.Link's stage's Tornado
4.Two player works best
Place the green shell near a place where a tornado will appear.( link's stage)Pick up a pokeball.When your opponet comes up,throw the pokeball behind the green shell.If it's charizard,it'll hurt your opponet and send the green shell into your friend.If a tornado appears and your friend gets caught while being hurt, It'll throw him out of the stadium.
My friend did it and his opponet's health went from 2% to 246% in 3 seconds.TIMING IS CRUCIAL!!

Healing Cheat

Play at the Saffron City stage with any player on any mode.When Chansey pops out of the door,run to the her as fast as you can,if it works,Chansey will heal 5% of your HP.

Smashing Bonuses (1P game)

ACID CLEAR: Acid on Planet Zebus defeats Samus.
ALL VARIATIONS: Attack foe with all possible moves.
ARWING CLEAR: Mini Arwing on Sector Z defeats Fox.
BOOBY TRAP: Lay a trap (a mine) and get your enemy killed by it.
BROS. CALAMITY: Defeat Luigi before attacking Mario.
BUMPER CLEAR: Defeat your opponent using a bumper.
CHEAP SHOT: Overuse the same move.
COMET MYSTIC: Clear a level when you've become a star.
DK PERFECT: Defeat Donkey Kong without allies getting hit. (There's also a bonus for allies surviving but I forgot what it's called)
FIGHTER STANCE: Hit L button to "pose" as foe dies.
FULL POWER: Win with Damege Meter at 0%.
FULL POWER CLEAR: Defeat "Master Hand (the final boss)" with Damage Meter at 0%.

Knock Out Pokemon

On the Pokemon stage, you can knock them out of the box.  I've only done it with DK's running kick and sometimes the hammer.  i could only knock out Chansey, Charmander, and once in a while Electrode. 

Extra Points in Team Timed Mode

Put team attack on in options mode and you can hit your team mate off the screen and get points so that you will always come first.
NB Do it when there are others are around so you will never be suspected!!

Another Way to Get a Quick KO

You have to be Donkey Kong.  As soon as you see the player you want to kill, walk up to them and press "R".  Walk off the edge while still carrying your friend and let go when you know he/she won't make it back.  You will get a point for knocking off your friend, and lose a point for falling.  Your friend will just lose a point.  Although you won't gain anything, your friend will lose something, thus puting you on top in the long run.  This works best when playing one-on-one.



Mario&Luigi tornado

If you're teaming with Mario and Luigi then let Mario first do the Mario tornado on a character and then do the Luigi tornado (figures) with Luigi. When the two tornado's are finished, Luigi will knock the enemy farther because Luigi's punches in his tornado hurts a lot more than Mario's punches.

Ultra Damage!!

Ok, this is hard to pull off but very very rewarding. First go to the Great Fox in multiplayer or in DK's place. Next throw a red shell down on the ground (set items in item select to only red shells and stars). Get a star and lure your opponent to the ground. Get him/her to get between you and the red shell, then watch the damage! They should bounce in between you and the red shell, adding damage by the 30s-40s. I had this happen to me at a party, my damage went from 102% to 886%, boy did it hurt......

Easy Captin Falcon/ Samus Kill

First go to team battle and play with a friend on the same team. Then pick Captin Falcon or Samus againest you. Pick Links place and you and your friend pick Kirby. Then you and your friend us Kirbys rapid kick move. Then damage is really heavey. After he gets up to around to 200 damage on him take him to the right edge and you and your friend take turns power bombing him. He is helpless.

Tons of Damage!

This is a little complicated, but well worth it. In multiplayer mode, make sure there are those bumpers. Go to the Yoshi level and wait for one to fall on the ground. Pick it up and throw it right next to the dip, about a DK's width from it. If you're lucky, a person will hit it from the indent side, and the bumper will fly across the screen.

Be standing right where the bumper would stop moving, although you may take some damage, let it hit you. That makes the bumper fly back across the screen, just in time to catch the person on the other side! if you're lucky, since it is a slant, they'll keep bouncing off it until you hit them, or the bumper dissappears!!

When the Yoshi's did it to me in 1 player mode, they got me up to 500% damage in 10 sec!

Easier Chance of Living

This may not be a cheat, but it can help you.
If you are Mario, Luigi, Samus, Ness, or Fox,
and you are about to die because you don't have enough jump power left, you can have a better chance of living. After you've used your last jump, (not B+up), press the down+B button once or twice. Once you've accomplished that, use the up+B move and you should be much closer to the edge. This works
best with Samus, Ness, and Fox.



Super Damage

This once happened to fox in the mushroom kingdom level. First, somehow lure fox onto one of the platforms (that sit still). Next, throw a red shell at the platform he's standing on (DON'T hit him). He will try to reflect it away and after he fails (several times) he'll get hit and you'll see lots of explosions. This sent fox from 10% to 859%!

Give 999% Damage
Go to Training mode and be Mario.Then go to any place and have your opponent just stand.Then go to item and go over to green shell and press A until you cant get any more.You must be right in front of your opponent.Then do a Mario Tornado(B-down)and the charecters (not the game) will pause for a moment and your opponent have 999% Damage. NOTE:Do not go to kirbys place when you do this.

Beat pikachu in 10 sec.
Choose any character and very easy mode. When you get to Pikachu go on the right side of him. He will attack but don't hit him.
He will probably use an attack that makes him fall. When he uses quick attack to get vback up he will go to the other side and
fall off. You will get bonus points for not attacking.

Flaming boomerang
To get flaming boomerang go to vs. mode and have two controllers play. You choose Link and you can pick anybody for player 2. Once it is at a stage get your bomb ready and use your boomerang. Then hit the boomerang with the bomb. pause the game once they hit and then you should see the boomerang burn.

How To Get Mushroom Kingdom
To get The secret level Mushroom Kingdom you have to beat the game with all of the original charicters.It doesnt matter if you have it on Very Easy with 5 lives you can beat it any way you would like just beat the game with all the original characters.

Beat the "Very Hard" level with only 1 life and Link will become evil looking. Pointed eyebrows and a sinister look.

Kirby's Power Loss:
Everybody knows that Kirby can swallow his opponents and take on some of their powers in this game, but what if you accidentally "ate" a character you didn't want -- and you want to pursue someone else? Simple: Just press the L Button to pull of Kirby's "Hello!" taunt and he will discard whatever power he took on.

Play as Jigglypuff (Purin):
Beat the game with any character on any difficulty and number of lives. Then beat Jigglypuff.

Play as Captain Falcon:
Beat the game in 20 minutes. Then beat Captain Falcon.

Play as Ness from Earthbound:

Beat the game on normal difficulty and with three lives. Then beat Ness.

Play as Luigi:
Complete Break The Target with the eight original characters and one bonus character. Then beat Luigi.

Sound test:
Complete Bonus Games 1 and 2 with all characters, including the secret ones.

Alternate costumes:
At the character selection screen, press C-Left, C-Right, C-Up, or C-Down.

Change Outfits:
You can change your characters' outfits by tapping the four C Buttons at the character select screen.

Mew in Pokeballs:
Unlock all four bonus characters.

Item menu (VS mode):
Play VS mode 50 times.

Classic Mushroom stage (VS mode):

Beat the game with all the original characters.

Get Raichu:
To get Raichu (the evolved form of Pikachu), beat the game on all skill levels with one life in your stock, after that, go to the character select screen and press up and start after you have selected him. Also, if you turn off your system and do not have an expansion pack, you must redo the trick. If you do have an expansion pack, the game will not delete him.

Brutal Death:
The following must be used to do this: 1. A pokeball (will work with Charizard, Maybe others) 2. A green shell 3. Link's stage's Tornado 4. Two player works best Place the green shell near a place where a tornado will appear.
Pick up a pokeball.When your opponet comes up,throw the pokeball
behind the green shell.If it's charizard,it'll hurt your opponet and send the green shell into your friend.If a tornado appears and your friend gets caught while being hurt, It'll throw him out of the stadium.

Bonus Practice #1, Break The Targets:
When playing as Yoshi, to get the target on the far right,
use the Mega Headbutt (Left or Right + A) next to the side of the target hill.

Bonus Practice #2, Board The Platforms:
Use the following strategy when playing as Jigglypuff/Purin on the last platform. Since Jigglypuff does not have an extra jump (Up + B), run and jump from the edge then press B. Repeat this until reaching the platform. Pace your jumps so he can go farther. Practice this on the "walk on water platform".

Borrow a life:
Begin a team game under versus mode. Press Start if you lose a life
to take a life from your partner, if he or she has more than one remaining. Alternatively, press A + B + Z + Start.

Control credits screen:
Press one of the following buttons during the credits. Press Analog-stick to change the angle and move the target. Press Start + A to scroll faster, or to return to normal speed. Select a name with the target and press A to view details about their work in the game. Press B to pause or resume the scrolling.

Self-destruct:
Hold Z or R (block) until your character explodes. F-Zero X track:
If you get a total score of more than 1 200 000 you get the special
F-Zero X race track. Were you can fight and dodge the cars at the same time.

Suicide kill:
Donkey Kong has the ability to pick up barrels and walk around with them for a short time, well, he can do the same with players, get near the edge as DK, and press grab once, if you press it too many times you will pick up the character and throw him immediately, you don't want this, wait a second and move to the left and right until DK places the character on his back, once DK has the enemy on his back run and jump off the edge immediately, if done correctly, you, and your enemy will not be able to get back up before DK is forced to throw the enemy, you will have successfully sealed both of your fates. If you really know what your doing, you might be able to jump at the last moment just enough to make your enemy go down first, you thus
win the match if he was on his last life. Kirby can do something similar, his main grab shoots up and then down, if you can get this move to land over the edge, your enemy will be under you, if he was on his last life, he should die first. Yoshi's suicide is very hard, it almost requires chance, you have to get hit hard enough to knock Yoshi off the edge without making him lose whoever is in his mouth, you both fall.

Giant Mario:
When playing as Mario, press L and he will grow bigger. (You can't move when big though.) Hint: You have to have the Classic Mushroom Kingdom in Vs. mode and the Item
Switch. Then go to the Item Switch and turn everything off except the bumper. Then go to Vs. Mode and pick the character Fox (I suggest you make the Comp. a level 1, then he won't mess you up). Then select the Classic Mushroom Kingdom. Wait for a bumper to appear and then grab it. Bring it over to the tunnel nearest to the top and stand a little ways from the tunnel or it won't work. Throw it up and then use your Deflector (Down B). Let it bounce back and forth until your deflector breaks. If you stood far enough away it should be hitting you and you should see a giant "Hitt" symbol and your health will increase rapidly. If you are not at 999% do it once more. This is fun for sudden death matches.

Travel in tubes:
On the Mushroom Classic Stage, go on top of a tube and press down, and you will go down the tube into a different tube.A great excape route from attacks.(Note: you can come out of the tube in the pit so press jump to get out of it.)

Item Switch options:
Play versus mode at least 50 times. This unlocks an item switch option that you take control over. Things like items and the number of times it can appear will be controllable.

Unlock Waluigi:
If you manage to get a score of 1.000.000.000 you unlock Waluigi.

Make Capt. Falcoln Fart:
To make Capt. Falcon fart, go to training mode and choose him and choose Link's stage. Make sure that you have your opponet next to you. While jumping, press Down + A as you land.

Japanese version

Play as Jigglypuff (Purin):
Beatthe game with Captain Falcon on any difficulty and number of lives. Then beat Jigglypuff.

Play as Captain Falcon:
Beat the game with any character on any difficulty and number of lives. Then beat Captain Falcon.

Custom menu:
Play Yoshi VS. Kirby 100 times for multiplayer options.

Item menu (VS Mode):
Get 100 kills with any characters.



Pokemon in the Pokeballs:
The Pokemon in the Pokeballs have the following powers.

Hitmonlee:
Comes out and flies at the opponent doing a kick attack.

Koffing:
Arrives and starts blasting foul smoke in the air.

Meowth:
Pops out and showers out coins that hurt opponent.

Mew:
The special secret 151st Pokemon makes his appearance... and flies away.

Onix:
Shows up, flies up top, and then boulders drop from the ceiling.

Snorlax:
Pops out, flies up, and then comes down huge, hurting your opponent.

Starmie:
Finds opponent and blasts them with rays.

Charmander:
Just blows fire in one direction (only in Silph Co. stage).

Venusaur:
Razor Leaf attack; leaves from this Pokemon fly at opponents (only in Silph Co. stage).

Porygon:
Rams you or the opponent (only in Silph Co. stage).



Keeping your opponent off the platforms:
Use the following moves when playing as the indicated character to knock your opponent off the platforms.

Mario and Luigi:
Press B to throw a fireball when they try to come back.

Ness:
Press B for the PK Fire if they come near your character in the air. Your opponent will be pulled down and paralyzed once it hits.

Yoshi:
If you are near the end of the platform, wait for your opponent to approach. Then, press B to turn them into an egg. If you are close enough to the edge, the egg will make them fall and they will not be able to get back up.

Donkey Kong:
After knocking an opponent off, press B to charge up the punch. Use the punch when they are close enough while in the air.

Kirby:
Press Up + B near the edge when your opponent approaches.

Link:
Press B to throw the boomerang after knocking them off the platform and they try to get close again.

Fox:

Press B to keep firing the blaster.

Samus:
Press B to charge up the gun, then shoot it when a knocked off opponent returns.

Pikachu:
Jump and press B to shoot a little ball of electricity. If it hits a returning opponent, they will be paralyzed.

Captain Falcon:
Press B to use the Falcon Punch when your opponent tries to return.

Jigglypuff:
Press B to use the lunging punch when a returning opponent is close enough.  

Strategy for 1p mode
This isnt really a cheat but it is something to use if you're stuck on 1p mode. Link: This is easy all yo have to do is use your toss down and toss him off the edge. Get his energy down to 50 before you do it. Yoshi team-
All you have to do is toss down attack on them eaasy.

Fox:
Lower his energy down to 120 before tossing him off he is pretty hard.

Mario Bros:
This is harrd. You have to battle both Mario and the even tougher Luigi. Lower their energy down to 140 before throwing them. Good thing you have an ally for here.

Pikachu:
This is a little hard.
Try to make the pokemon attack Pikachu and lower his energy to 110 and toss him off the cliff.

Giant DK:
He is pretty tough. You have 2 allies. Lower his energy down to 320 and toss him off the stage.

Kirby team:
These Kirbys are Kirbys with someone elses power. The last one is a random hidden character. Toss them off Dreamland to beat them all.

Samus:
She is definetly tough. To beat her lower her energy down to 120 and toss her in the lava. She is hard to hit and her attacks are hard to avoid.

Metal Mario:
He is tough to beat him lower his energy down to 400 and toss him off the stage. Warning:He has very high defense.

Polygon Team:
There are thirty of them. They use attacks a lot and grab items. Toss them off the arena to beat them.

Master Hand:
He is hard. He has 300 hp. Use Samus's a up move, or Falcons falcon punch. With Ness hit yourself with pk thunder and ride on it to hit him. With Luigi use any move exept for the a move and his fireballs. With the others use your strongest moves.  

Hidden characters:


Jigglypuff:
She is hard. Lower her energy down to 250 and toss her off the stage.

Ness:
Easy-hard. Just use Kirby's rock move or Dk's brute strength(B down). With the others lower his energy down to 200 and toss him off as long as he doesn't hit himself with pk thunder. Falcon: This is easy. Use the same skills as Samus but you should just lower his energy down to 85 and toss him into the lava. It worked for me. He isn't as hard to hit as Samus is.

Luigi:
Out of all the hidden character battles, this is the hardest. Don't think of the last time you battled him.
He will use strong attacks on you. He uses super jumppunch to get back on. He uses it on you and it stings and paralyzes. Use Ness's pkfire about 15 times on him and then hit yourself with pk thunder on him. Keep doing this until he dies. With Falcon use a lot of Falcon punches on him. He's hard to knock off. With the others take his energy down to 300 and then toss him off.
