Cheat: Money

All Scenarios
Name a guest Akiyama to unlock all the scenarios

Hatch an Egg
Name a guest "Eggman" and all dinosaur eggs will hatch after a scientist checks it.

Cheat Method
1. Open config.ztd with winzip.
2. Open Economy.cfg with notepad or wordpad.
3. Search for cZooDooRecyclingAmount and change the number to whatever you want. This will be the profit for every recycle you do. Normally you recycle around 8-12 times per month.
4. Also, look for cKeeperCost which should be 800. This is the salary you pay your zoo keepers. Change it to something lower and your expenses will decrease dramatically.
5. If you want more money at start of the game, edit zoo.ini with notepad or wordpad and find a line called MSMaxCash. Change that to whatever you want and you can start out with a couple of million.

Unlock the Triceratops
Name one of your exhibits "Cretaceous Corral". This will unlock the Triceratops.

Money
Press Shift+4 (basically like typing the $), and you'll get an instant $10,000.

Triceratops
Name one of your exhibits "Cretaceous Corral". This will unlock the Triceratops.

Unicorn
Name one of your exhibits "Xanadu". This will unlock the Unicorn.

Get 2X Donations
Name an exhibit "Microsoft".

Cutt Off Salaries
Name a tour guide "Rosalie" and all your tour guide's salaries will turn to zero.

DoDo Bird
Name an exhibit "doflopnok".

Yellow Brick Road Footpath
Place a lion tiger and bear in the same exibit to unlock the "yellow brick road" footpath.

Dodo from Alice and Wonderland
Name a dodo Mr.Dodo than the dodo will turn in to the dodo bird from Disney's Alice and Wonderland.

Santa Claus
Change your date to Dec 25th.

Easter Bunny
Change your date to Easter Sunday.

April Fool
Change your dat to April 1st.

Hobo
Change your date to Jan 8th.

New Year's Baby
Change your date to Dec 31st.

Yoda
Name a guest "Yoda" - Yoda will enter the park.

Unlock the Unicorn
Name one of your exhibits "Xanadu". This will unlock the Unicorn. Note: When using the "name an exhibit" cheat, be sure that you let the game name the exhibit for you, then go back and name the exhibit as noted in the cheat. Not doing so may cause the game to crash.

Instant Money
Press Shift+4 (basically like typing the $), and you'll get an instant $10,000.

Yellow Brick Road
Place a lion, tiger, and a bear in an exhibit. All scenarios Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "zoo.ini" file. Add the following entries under the [scenario] section: [scenario]

Name Changing Bonuses
Change a visitor's name to any of the following for the desired effect:

Swimming guests:
Build a water tank around a group of guests. The tank will fill up with water and the guests will start to swim.

Crazy guests:
When your guests are looking at an animal from the side of an exhibit, quickly pause game play and build another exhibit around the guests. Place some lions or crocodiles in the exhibit and resume the game. The guests will begin running around screaming.

Free construction:
Pause game play then start building. No money will be taken.

Completing the Breeding Giant Pandas scenario:
To get Panda Research you need to complete the Breeding Giant Pandas scenario. You need to breed Giant Pandas, but you cannot get them until you make fifteen excellent exhibits. You also need to do all Panda Research and get their cave and bamboo. You can then get only two pandas, one male and female. To increase your chance of breeding your pandas, build their exhibit, pause game play, then buy as many pandas as needed before resuming the game. Then wait until the scenario ends.

No rubble or trampled terrain:
Block off part of the exhibit then put terrain that can be trampled there. In their part of the exhibit, put Dirt, Sand, Brown or Gray Stone, or Snow. You can also use water as a fence if the animal cannot swim.

Escaping monkeys:
if the monkeys are put in an exhibit at ground level, sometimes the Chimpanzees will escape from their exhibit. It is is better if you lower the ground about two or three levels then put a wall on top next to the pavement. However, do not put it on the low ground. The monkeys will not be able to reach the fence to jump out. Do not put any trees close to the edges. They could climb the trees. You now will have an inescapable exhibit. This can also be done for other animals.

Developer mode (beta version):
Press [Ctrl] + D for developer mode. This allows you to move entrances, zoo walls, add odd buildings, and vehicles.

Toggle foliage display (beta version):
Press [Ctrl] + F.

Editable scenarios (beta version):
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. To change a scenario feature, edit a scn.scn file, where indicates the number of the scenario, located in the "scenario.zip" file.

Unlimited Money

Just press the $-button ! Press it again for more money ! BE SURE to be prepared to repair fences.  This cheat causes fences to crumble and animals may escape!

No pain for unlimited money

Press $ and shift and hold them and watch your money go up rapidly! But to make sure there's no pain in getting millions of money make sure you do it at the beginning of the game when you have no enclosures otherwise the fences will break and your animals will escape and then you'll have to buy new animals and new fences which will drain away your new money!!!!!

Money Cheat

Enter in config.zip, in game directory.
Select economy.cfg and open it with the notepad.
find the line cash=50000, and change the value.

Various Cheats

• Ctrl-f will turn off the drawing of all foliage on the map. Hitting Ctrl-f again will turn it back on.
• Name a guest "John Wheeler" to make all the animal shelters available to you
• Name a guest "Hank Howie" to get all staff education programs
• Mr. Blue - turns everyone's clothes blue.
• Mr. Blonde - turns everyone's clothes yellow.
• Mr. White - turns everyone's clothes white.
• Mr. Brown - turns everyone's clothes brown.
• Mr. Orange - turns everyone's clothes orange.
• Mr. Pink - turns everyone's clothes pink.

Using these also turns the buildings roofs a matching color
Also, try these names..

• Alfred H - Birds begin to appear and people freak out.
• Russell C - Fences all fall apart.
• Zeta Psi - Some people's shirts turn yellow, and then their faces turn green, and then they puke
• Steve Serafino - All endangered Animals
• Andrew Binder - All animal houses

Unlock the Triceratops
Name one of your exhibits "Cretaceous Corral".  This will unlock the Triceratops.  I should also note that if you name a brand new exhibit using this cheat, it will crash the game.  Everyone who's done it with a new exhibit has experienced this, so keep it in mind.

Get A Mermaid

To get a mermaid, all you have to do is, once you've gotten the mermaid statue, put it in a tank an watch it come alive! Note: just so you know, mermaids like sand dollars and sunken ships.

Unlock the Unicorn
Name one of your exhibits "Xanadu".  This will unlock the Unicorn.  I should also note that if you name a brand new exhibit using this cheat, it will crash the game.  Everyone who's done it with a new exhibit has experienced this, so keep it in mind.

Easter Egg: Yellow Brick Road

Place a Lion, a Tiger and a Bear in the same exhibit, and you will unlock the 'Yellow Brick Road' footpath. It's not cheap though, at $100!

Edit the file zoo located in the Zoo Tycoon Directory (Please backup this file first) with Notepad or a similar text editor to read as follows at the bottom of the file:

More Giant Panda's

In the last scenario, when you have to breed Giant Panda's, normally you can only choose two. If you recive the message that you can adopt the two panda's, just pause the game. Now you can adopt as many Giant Panda's if you want. REMEMBER! If you turn the game back on, you can't adopt Giant Panda's anymore, so adopt them all when the game is paused.
