You must have a game saved in order to start "hacking" and the cheat system works alot like the old DOS system. You must type in "cheat [code]" after the A: prompt. The system will automatically put a shortcut for the "cheat" portion of the command on the left side once it has been typed the first time.

WORKING GOD MODE
Okay, this one works on PS2 and Xbox, and most likely, G' Cube.After entering CHEATS from the hacking menu, put a space after it, and enter 7F4DF451
Press ENTER and god mode should be enabled.

Agent on Board (Defeat the Agent)
Get to the switch that will lower the door.

Then keep a distance from the Agent, then run towards the Agent and press O to do a flying kick.

The Agent cannot block it and will be pushed back. When that happens, back away again and do the same technique until you finally knock him off the plane.

Defeat the Agent (Ghost Level- Answer the Phone)
How to temporarily kill the first agent you find in the game (as Ghost)- may work with Niobe as well in similar areas.


With Ghost, the Agent appears on the rooftops. (FMV where the door busts right up in Ghost's mouth) The Agent will fire his Magnum at you from a distance. He does not follow you but on foot, but as you escape through the rooftops and corridoors, he will take over the nearest people around you, so I suggest taking out all the policemen you come across.

Eventually you will come to a point where you are about to jump from one rooftop to another, and before you get there, Mr.Agent will drop down from the roof, standing in your path blocking you. This time you can kill him extremely easy, for now. Since you already know he's going to be there, switch to Focus mode and Jump slightly to the left or right of him. (Focus Jumping Covers Far More Ground, And is the Only Way To Cross To The Other Building)
If done right, you should be near his back, and he should still be getting up. With Focus ON, (keep holding), get right behind him and start attacking with Ghosts powerered middle kick. If you have timing down (easy here) The Agent will be hit as soon as his recovery from the fall is over, and if Focus is on, and you pull the right kick, you'll knock him right off the building, killing him for a short time.

Morpheus message
In the Hacking engine, instead of using "GUEST", you can LOGIN as FREEMIND or COWBOYCURTIS to hear a message from Morpheus

Multi-player mode character selections
When entering multi-player mode, you do not get to choose which character(s) you would like to fight as. Instead, the Matrix selects two pre-set opponents depending on which scenario/background you choose. Note: Much like Morpheus vs. Neo in The Matrix, multi-player mode is essentially a training ground to hone your standard skills. Focus is unavailable for use in the Multiplayer program. You must have two Dual Shock 2 controllers, as the original Dual Shock analog controller does not work. There is no background music to accompany these battles. Below is the list of backgrounds/environments that are used in the single player game itself, and the characters the CPU will select upon choosing a certain background:

Additional options
Go into the Hacking option and type "DIR". This will bring up a list (System.exe, Tools.exe, etc.). Under system, login as "GUEST". This will bring up the B directory. Go to tools under B's directory and it will ask for a five digit binary code. Note: This code is random each time. Enter the correct code (such as "11001" or "10011") to access more options such as "DECODE.EXE", "PLAY.EXE", and "VIEW.EXE".

Break Agent
To do this, it is best to use the "Unlimited health", "Unlimited ammunition" , and "Unlimited Focus" codes. Use Focus and try to disarm the Agent. It may take a while, but eventually you should get it. Once the Agent is broken, you can punch and kick him and he will not react. He will just stand there and straighten his tie every once in a while. If you try to shoot him, he still dodges the bullets as normal.

Defeating Sephere
Let him strike first, and stay defensive ([Square]). After this, lay it on him then back off and repeat.

Defeat SWAT members
Take out any gun, go into Focus mode, then run and jump while shooting. When in Focus, your aim improves and the run and jump will help you dodge bullets.

Game trailer
Allow the game to idle at the main menu. It will eventually play the preview trailer that was used to promote the game through the website.

Alternate ending sequence
As Ghost, when you have to fight the man to see the oracle, you are supposed to lose. After you complete the game, go back and load that level. You can defeat him to get an alternate game ending.

Flashlight
You may have trouble grabbing the flashlightm which is actually a MP5 icon. To get it, take out your MP5 and waste its ammunition so that the gun is no longer in the inventory. The same goes for MP5 pistols. Once this is done, you can pick up the flashlight/MP5. Equip it to turn on the flashlight.

Powerade
Approach a Powerade vending machine and press [Square] near the buttons on the machine. A Powerade will pop out.

In the Nuclear Plant level where you get the UMP, look at the wall just before you go up to the tower to find a Powerade vending machine.

If you have low health and are in trouble, go to a Powerade machine. Press [Square] and a Powerade will pop out of the machine. Run on top of it, and if done correctly it will fill up your health.

Focus Counter/Reversal technique
Opponents such as Agents, Seraph or Smith have a high rate of reversal/counter which can deal large damage. On a high level, this makes offense not the most suitable option, as the more you attack, the greater the window of opportunity for your opponent to counter/reverse. Anticipate a punch or kick, and before it commences you must fully Focus. Take note of the opponent's stance, keeping a view of their hands and feet while still Focused. The precise moment you see the opponent begin to move their hands or feet to strike, press [Action] for a guaranteed reversal. The amount of damage dealt to the opponent here can be rewarding, as reversals are the most time sensitive and must be executed precisely during combat -- a misplaced reversal attempt can leave you vulnerable.

Running on walls
Press [L1] (Focus), while you are close to a wall. If done correctly, this should make your character run against the wall, then eventually do a cartwheel off it.

Jump off walls
To jump off a wall, put your guns away, enter Focus and jump toward the wall. When you are about to hit the wall, press [Jump] and you will flip off the wall in the air. If you want to do a bullet jump (the jump that you do in a battle with guns), draw your guns before you get to the wall and press [Jump] at it. Then, shoot away. You cannot shoot while flipping though.

Jump longer
Press [Up] + [Jump] without focus, then immediately press [L1] to activate focus. You will jump consistently longer.

Dodging bullets
When you are in a close area, Focus and do a wall run. Then, press [Jump] and move your character to the other wall. Next, do another wall run then press [Jump]. You should still be in Matrix mode. If done correctly, you will be able to dodge a lot of bullets.

When playing as Ghost or Niobe, when you are under attack by someone you cannot see hold [Focus] ([L1]) and press [Square]. Ghost or Niobe will start doing cartwheels and somersaults to dodge the bullets until you find your enemy.

Longer wall flips
When doing a wall flip in Matrix mode, press [Jump] to do a longer flip. Note: You will not be able to fire your weapons while doing this. Be careful, and try not to use it around a lot of enemies.

Perfect accuracy
Get a gun (preferably a machine gun) and switch to first person view. Shoot and you will see that the bullets appear in a perfectly straight line, no matter what the weapon. This is extremely useful and works with any gun.

Stylish kills
Pull out your pistol(s) by pressing [Weapon Draw]. Then, press [Punch] to hit your enemy with the butt of the gun. Your gun will disappear. While he is dizzy, pull out your pistol(s) again and you will automatically grab his head and shoot him in the stomach.

Press [Punch] + [Weapon Draw] ([A] + [Y]) as Ghost to grab an enemy and shoot them in the stomach; or pick them up and throw and shoot them in the air.

When playing as either Ghost or Niobe, hold [Focus] and go up to someone that has a good sized gun (machine gun or sniper rifle). Press [Action]. This will make them take the weapon from the enemy and do different things (throw them to the ground and shoot them or smack them with their own weapon).

There are three easy ways to instantly kill someone (excluding Bosses, Agents, and Vampires). Disarm someone with a long barreled gun (shotgun, MP5, sniper rifle, etc.). If you grab their gun, and smack them with the butt of it. Try disarming someone from behind, thereby putting them in a sleeper hold. The best way, though, is to have a gun out, and throw ([Punch] + [Kick]) someone. You will knock them down, then shoot their head.

If you have two pistols, hold [Focus] ([L1]) and jump when you are in a combat with someone. You will dive forward and start shooting.

To break someone's neck, go up behind them and press [Square]. When Ghost or Niobe starts strangling them, press [L1] (Focus).

When sneaking up on someone and choking them from behind, tap [Focus] and your character will break your opponent's neck.

When fighting a policeman or SWAT member, take out a gun, approach the target as you would in hand-to hand combat, then hold [Triangle] + [Circle] + [R1]. Ghost or Niobi will throw the character to the ground, and immediately shoot them.

Use your gun in hand-to-hand combat
While in hand-to-hand combat at close range, press [Weapon Draw]. You will kick your opponent backwards, draw your gun, and fire at him while he is still in the air. This is effective, fun, and looks good. Do this while Focused for added effect.

Change weapons
If two or more weapons are available, press [Lef or [Righ. This should cycle through your weapons.

Visibly holding the sword
Once you have loaded the sword on to your character from the Hacking engine, you can actually get your character to keep the sword in their hands all the time. Start a level with offensive grenades and an Agent attacking you. Throw a grenade near you and the Agent. Before the grenade explodes, use your sword on the Agent. As you are chopping away at the Agent, the grenade will explode and knock you over. When you stand back up again, the sword remains in your hand.

Get into a fight with an Agent using your sword. Throw a grenade at him, then start using your sword again. The reaction causes you to forget to put your sword away. Note: It is best to do this with the "Unlimited health" code.

Ending sequence
Successfully complete the game under any difficulty setting. The ending sequence includes what appears to be a trailer for The Matrix Revolution, the sequel to The Matrix Reloaded.

To hear "Going Under" by Evanescence, complete the game. The entire song will be played at the end credits.

Regain health and Focus
Find an area with no enemies. Remain idle and your heath and Focus will rise.

Various Cheats

Warning

The cheat "Maximum Firepower"/all weapons will freeze you games the first freeze spot is control tower 2 so the best cheats are infinite health, infinite ammo, and infinite focus.

These cheat should work with any version of the game.

Dodging Easily to Save Tons of Health

To dodge easily use your focus and do a wall run, a roll, or a kartwheel. {You can do the cartwheel only with the girl}.
THIS SAVES ALOT OF HEALTH

Hint

See when you are fighting the agent on the plane put the infinite focus on & the infinite ammo and hold down focus (L1 default) and fire a few shots from the entry shotgun and then run up and kick the agent out the plane (you might half to do it more than once) have fun!!!!! and go kick some agent butt

Defeat Vlad Easily

You cant have any guns in your hands at this time ok now defeat the other three first then vlad will come out you will know because it will say it at the top of your screen when he comes out get him down then hit him to the wall with the two bookcases hit him in between them then just keep on punching him and he will eventually die

M240

Playing as Ghost, go into the level in the airport "Terminal". At the end of the level you run down the hallway and you see three SWAT team members running towards a woman in a black suit(Binary) who is on your team. Normally you would let her gun down the three SWAT team members with her M240 and you would run in front of her and finish the level. Instead, run to the right where the SWAT team members are and kill them and get their guns. Then run behind Binary with your "Entry Shotgun" and kill her, yes, kill her. Then this is the key, as soon as you kill her run forwards and grab her gun and keep running. You will end up in the spot where you would normally finish the level and you win with her M240. What is a M240 you might ask? It is a machine gun with a clip size of 120 and with a capacity of 2 extra clips. It also has long range, very high accuracy, and it does a lot of damage.

Sneak Into Level 2 Behind the Scenes

This is the first level of the game just for you to know. Run into the men's room and DO NOT KILL ANYBODY OR HIT THEM. Climb up the ladder after the boring mini movie (you will see it in the men's room) you will end up in the shower room. Then you can sneak up on the hostages...."BLAM,BLAM!"

Rescue Level

On the level as Niobe where you have to rescue your friend, it is impossible to complete with certain cheats on. A grenade appears in front of you as soon as you start.

How To Kill Agents

Do you people want to really know how to kill Agents well get a shotgun and shoot them about 2 times or more.

Shortcut  at the Post Office Level

At the beginning of the level, go to the left toward the bathrooms. If you enter the men's room you will see a guy going up a ladder. Follow him up the ladder and when you get to the top the game will say: Loading Behind the Scenes. When it's done loading you will be in the men's shower room. You will go through a different part of the level. Nothing big, but I thought it was pretty cool. It works with Niobe, but I'm not sure about Ghost.

System tools /b

When you enter hacking system tools /b you will be asked to enter a 5 digit code the code is: 10110 this will unlock droping weapons within the matrix, and other helpful things!!

Unfortunately the System tools /b code above does not work all the time.  The five digit code always changes but the numbers are like three 1's and 2 zeros.  Or 3 zeros and two 1's.  So it would usually be something like "10110" or "00101" something like that.  Luckily the hacking engine will tell you what numbers are in the right place and what numbers are correct.  So just give it some trial and error tests, switch some numbers around and you will usually find the right one.

Hints and Advice

This is not a code or cheat just some advice when fighting against Seraph in the mission Seraph's Tea House you can do 2 things If you lose you will go to the last 2 missions but if you win you can see the oracle like in the movie and go through a lot more missions and see more exclusive movie clips.

If you beat the game you get to see an exclusive preview of the Matrix III where you can see nowhere else ( at least for now) Beat the game the preview is very cool.

To access the phone numbers and portkeys you have to unlock a thing called DIAL to do this you have to access the V: all you do is in the VIRTUAL tab write FROZENFISH or THISISNOTREAL it will allow you access to the Secret Messages

Unlock Sword

To unlock the swordfight, follow these steps. Open the Hacking program from the main menu. Open a file that has the game completed. Note: You must have completed the game first in order for this cheat to work; and the game file you select at the Hacking menu must have the game completed. Type LOGIN and press Enter. Type GUEST and press Enter. Type DIR, then a space. DIR should now appear in your command list. Access the B Drive through the DIR command. Select TOOLS from the B Drive. It will be locked and will ask you for an access code. The access code consists of 1s and 0s. You must guess the access code, as it is different each time. It is only five digits long. Once you have access to the TOOLS on the B Drive, type all the .EXE files (without the .EXE after them). For example, type DECODE then a space. DECODE will now appear in the command list. Repeat this for all other .EXE files in the TOOLS folder in the B Drive. Now, access VIRTUAL on your command list. Type in FROZENFISH as the password. An authentication test will start. An image of a Chinese symbol will appear, but it will be scrambled. The image is broken into 9 squares, and each square will have five different choices. You must change all the pieces so that a complete image appears. You have a limited amount of time to do this. Once you guess a correct image, the timer will stop and you will be taken back to the hacking screen. Look at the top of the screen. If it says "Solution: Blue", then the line will be traced and you will have to enter TRACEKILL and then press enter as fast as possible or all progress will be lost. Once you enter TRACEKILL, you will have to start back at accessing VIRTUAL on your command list. However, if it says "Solution: Red", then you will hear a message from Neo and get access to the V Drive. Open the V Drive and get all the commands from the TOOLS folder on your command list. Open the ROOTSEARCH program. Now, open the ROOT folder in the B Drive and get the two commands there on your command list. Enter the MAIL command and type THISISNOTREAL as the password and type YES. You will get a list of phone numbers:

Select the DIAL command and dial 001949555010. You should get a message from Persephone. Next dial 0013105550111. You will get you a message from Trinity. She will give you a number. Select PORTKEY and enter the number. She will start to talk to you. Type NO to both questions and she will give you a program called CRACK on your command list. Open it, then type 8RAM. It should look like this: "CRACK 8RAM". You now have access to the RAM drive. Go to DIR on your command list and access the RAM drive. A list of folder names will appear. Open the TRINITY folder. Get the Training command on your DIR by typing TRAINING then a space. Go to your command list and select TRAINING. On you command list, a file called SWORD.DSK will come up. Select it. It has now uploaded the sword onto you character in the Matrix. Quit the hacking program and select "Save Progress". You can use the sword when you start that game file. It can be used in any stage, but will only a[[ear when fighting enemies by pressing Punch + Kick. You have to enter it again when you turn off the game. Go to the Hacking program, select that file again, select TRAINING, then SWORD.DSK.

Morpheus Message

Get Poweraid

On the post office level you will see alot of green poweraid machines. Go up to one of them and press square and a Poweraid will fall out.

Beep

Type in beep.exe and type in some numbers (0-9) and depending on the numbers that you typed in, it will play a little tune.

The 50AE Pistol (Agent's Gun)

The first thing you do to get the agents gun is to put on (infinite focus,health,ammo and enimies can not see you) ,then go to any board that has grenades or explosive devices. Also make sure there's an agent on the board too. When you see him throw or shoot the grenade about 3 to 5 times and you should kill him then you will see his gun on the ground so go pick it up. You could probaly do this with out cheats but it's easier with them.

Break Warning Sign

On the skyscraper level you are being chased by agents well just keep on running till you see a WARNING sign hold focus and just jump through it!

Hacking Help, Bonus FMV, Multiplayer Mode

Hacking the Matrix can give you access to cheat codes, weapon drops, tons of bonus images and information, a special multiplayer fighting mode, and more.

To start, highlight hack and enter it. If you have multiple logs then just choose the log you want to hack for. You will then see a screen showing basically a computer screen. heres how to control what your doing; the X button will choose commands and press keyboard keys, the square to backspace or cancel commands, the L1 will jump your cursor over to the quick commands list, and the R1 will quickly jump to the Return key.

As you learn new commands, they will be added to the quick command list.(quick commands are the words on the left they are there so you dont have to keep on typing words ovber and over) You can use the EXIT command to stop hacking. exit and help are the only quik commands that you start out with

The first command you know is HELP. Typing HELP followed by a command, such as EXIT will give you information about that command, as well as add the command to your quick list. For now, just type HELP by itself and you will learn the DIR command. when you typ help youll always get an example in this case its HELP DIR. The DIR command lists all the files available in any directory. Type DIR by itself to see the list of directories currently available. so far you will have system, tools, and text.

Type DIR SYSTEM to see some commands in the SYSTEM folder. when you press enter youll get a list of diforent items one is reboot thats not really a good idea to type because you might have lost where your at but in this case its ok to type it just be warned that it will reboot the 'computer'.To find out about each command, type HELP then the command name. Now use DIR TOOLS to see more commands you can use. Again, type HELP then the command to find out how they work. if your not sure what it does you always need to check first, with help. One of the commands you will learn from tools is the CHEAT command. Use this command followed by a cheat code you get from this site to activate or deactivate a cheat. Finally, use DIR TEXT to see the text files. you can not read these things unless you type read and get it in your quick box. using the read command read all the texts available.

Use READ Note2.txt to learn about a password you'll need later. remember this for later or of course you can always just refer back to this folder.

type in the word LOGIN it will ask who this is and you just type guest. you logging in will access the B: drive. Just like with the A: drive youll see in DIR, use DIR to see all the directories, then use DIR on each directory to see what is in it. When you try to use DIR on the TOOLS command, it will ask for a 5 digit binary password.

Binary means just 1's and 0's, so enter any 5 digit code with just 1's and 0's. The correct code is random, but it will give you hints each time you try. Use the hints until you figure out the right sequence.

In the TOOLS directory there is the VIEW command, which you can use on any image file to view that image. Also is the PLAY command, which you can use to watch an FMV movie. Only images and movies that you have unlocked from playing the game are available.

To continue hacking, run the VIRTUAL command, and enter the password you got from the text file in the A:TEXT directory. Now you will be given a picture puzzle. The solution is random again, but there are 2 possible outcomes. One outcome will give you a warning and then a trace will start. To stop the trace, you must quickly type in TRACEKILL and press enter. If you aren't fast enough, you'll have to start all over! Then go back and try the picture puzzle again with the VIRTUAL command, and make a different picture to try to get the other result.

If you get the correct result, you will get access to a V: drive. Use DIR on the V: drive to see yet another TOOLS directory. Use DIR on it to get the ROOTSEARCH and DIAL commands. Use ROOTSEARCH and pay attention to the password it finds, and you will then be given access to the ROOT directory.

The ROOT directory has a MAIL command. Use the MAIL command and enter the password you learned from the ROOTSEARCH command to read an e-mail containing some phone numbers. Use the DIAL command followed by the first phone number in the list (just type the number, leave out the dashes) to hear a recording. Repeat for every number in the e-mail until you get a recording message and are given a 3 digit number.

To use this 3-digit number, use the PORTKEY command followed by the number. This will let you talk to a game character. Just answer the questions and you will get access to a CRACK command with instructions on how to use it. Just type CRACK 8RAM to get access to the RAM drive.

Using DIR on the RAM drive and its directories, then use the HANDSHAKE command to have another conversation with a game character. During this conversation, use the EMP command as requested. This will unlock a fun multiplayer fighting game that you can access by loading your saved game from the main menu, then pressing left until you get to the multiplayer option.

Other useful commands are DROP, which allows you to drop weapons into the game maps you have access to so you can pick them up while playing. There is also a command that gives you access to a sword, but only after you have beaten the game once.
