PlayStation 2 - PlayStation 2 cheats - Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup cheats

World Cup:
To play in the World Cup, you must defeat all three other teams with one team.

Queerditch Marsh:
To play in the place where they first invented Quidditch, called Queerditch Marsh, win the Quidditch World Cup with any country. You can play multi-player or against the CPU.

Easy scoring:
At the beginning of a match, hold the Left Analog-stick Up/Right to start out with possession of the Quaffle, making it easier for the first score. Usually making the first score assures that you will win the match as long as you follow the other scoring tips.

When hitting a Bludger, make the Bludger go directly in front of the other team's Chaser that has the Quaffle. Then move the Analog-stick Down and in a few seconds the Bludger will hit the Chaser; and you will have possession of the Quaffle.

To fake out the keeper, wait to go up to the hoops until you get a Dodge. Once you get the Dodge, go to one of the side hoops. The keeper will then get there very fast. When they reach that hoop, use your Dodge to get to the other side hoop, and while you are passing the hoop, throw the Quaffle.

Unlock Bulgarian team:
Collect 65 Quidditch Cards.

Unlock Nimbus 2000 broomstick:
Collect 20 Quidditch Cards.

Unlock Nimbus 2001 broomstick:
Collect any 35 Quidditch Cards.

Unlock D'orazio Dive skill:
Collect 25 Quidditch Cards.

Unlock Firebolt skill:
Collect 50 Quidditch Cards.

More Quidditch Cards:
To get more Quidditch Cards, play the Challenges and beat the Team Record.Win matches, each with a different team, in the Hogwarts or World Cup.

Better items:
To acquire almost anything, you must first collect Quidditch Cards. To unlock the best broomstick, the Firebolt, you must collect 50 Quidditch Cards.

Faster brooms:
If you want a really fast broom and play dirty team specials, choose Slytherin. They have Nimbus 2001 brooms and their special gets you 20 points. Japan has Firebolts, but does not have a strong team.

Temporarily knock out Chaser:
Get a Bludger, then use it. When the Bludger screen appears, control it all the way left then hit the Chaser. You will see him lose control of his broom and fly straight into the wall. This is only temporary.

Recommended team:
The best team to pick for Hogwarts is the Ravenclaw team. The Ravenclaw team has a Team Special Move that allows to get 30 points.

Avoiding Bludgers:
When someone shoots a Bludger, turn around so your Beaters are in front of you. The CPU will run the Bludger directly towards your Beaters and they will just knock it away. This works almost all of the time. If it does not, you probably turned around too late or your Beaters did not get in front of you in time. This will even works on the Firebolt level.

Easy Bludger hits:
After you shoot a Bludger at someone, press Away and it will hit the person almost every time.

Get Bludgers quickly:
Hold L1 + R1 while pressing X to make combo passes. However, pass quickly or it will not work. Then, use L1 and R1 and make a shot while holding one of those buttons to finish your combo. This will give you Bludgers faster.

Get Lots of Quidditch Cards

To get lots of Quidditch Cards go to the Hogwarts screen. Then you select a team and beat the team, the house, and the school record for each one of the challenges. This will give you a lot of Quidditch Cards.

Bludger Tip

When you launch a bludger, to make it hit your opponent more times pull the analog stick down and don't move it until you've hit 'em!

Faster Catch Up

When in a match and without the Quaffle stay directly behind the person you are trying to catch and press X.
You will then catch the player faster.

Combo Moves

When "Special Move" Pops up on the screen, do R1 or L1 and the button it says to push. You will then do something cool.

Scoring Technique

When you are trying to score you can out smart the keeper easily, all you have to do is aim for the hoop next to the hoop where the keeper is in so, the keeper will go to that hoop. Then when your close enough quickly turn to the hoop he/she was previously and shoot he/she wont have time to get there in time to save the quaffel

Power Up For the Snitch

When you're trying to catch the snitch, there will be a power meter. Once it goes down completely, let go of X( accelerate). YOur power meter will go up so you have more power to catch the snitch.

Beat all the teams and get a Firebolt500!(new racing broom)

When you get to your 1st match vs Hufflepuff, you have to circle around the seeker and distract him then he will start to follow you, you then must pull out your wand (L2+R2) and jinx him, he will then fall on professor mcgonnagol and she will give you a free broom and you can complete the game easily!

Fill up Snitch boost meter faster

While chasing the snitch, stay in the golden trail behind it, which fills your boost meter normally.  To fill it up quicker, run through the ends of the Sparkleing orbs.  Note: you must fly through the Round part.

Japanese Team

Although the Japanese team is fast, it suffers from having weak beaters. Use your beaters wisely to beat them.

 

Get Easy Quidditch Cards

To get easy and a lot of Quidditch cards here's how to do it. First you must pick a house to do challenges with. Then you go to challenges and beat all the challenges. When you do a challenge there is circles at the bottom of the screen, you have to make sure all those circles are green and NOT red or you wont get alot of cards.

Easy way to steal the Quaffel

To easily steal the Quaffel, Continually tackle, even though your opponent might not be in front of you.  Eventually, you'll catch up to him/her. Then just tackle your opponent.
