How to Get the Dog
When you begin the game, you'll notice several stray dogs wandering around. If you approach them, they'll run away. To woo a dog to your yard, keep putting food in his bowl. Anything will do: grass, eggs, berries. When you place these foods in the bowl, they immediately turn into doggie mush. After a while, you will notice the dog appearing at your farm more and more. Keep trying to pick up the dog (X). At some point, he will let you pick him up, and he will be yours!

How to Get the Horse
To get the horse, you'll have to visit Bob's farm quite a bit. Do part-time work taking care of his horses and cows and give him lots of presents. Eventually, after a solid chunk of work (a season or more), he'll bring a horse to you.

How to Train Your Dog
Once you get a dog to stay on your farm, you'll have to train him. To do so, use the following button presses in order to get him to do what you wish:

Sit: UP, LEFT, DOWN
Down: UP, DOWN, DOWN
Heel: LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT
Drive animals: RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT
Jump: LEFT, UP, RIGHT
Sit up: DOWN, UP, UP

Power Berry Locations
To get the Power Berries scattered around the land, look in these places:

1. In your pasture.
2. Visit the Harvest Goddess.
3. Visit the Harvest Sprites.
4. Go fishing.
5. Trigger the "Sacred Land" event.

Fishing Rod
Go to the Cafe as soon as the new day begins and you will see a carpenter. After the intermission sequence he will explain and give you the rod.

More Money
( the following cheat can only be used once you own a kitchen)
When your cow produces large milk do not go and sell it because you will only get 300$$. If you go into your kitchen, walk up to the pot and press X. put the L milk in the pot and press START. You will then have fresh cheese instead of milk and it sells for 500$$ so you end up getting 500 instead of 300 for your cows L milk

Fishing
To find out where the fish in the lake is, there is a dark circle in the lake when you throw the bobber in. Get in the circle to get it all the time.

When fishing, rotate the Left Analog-stick without pressing [X] you should feel the controller pulse or rumble very quickly. When it catches, it should be a fish. To tell if it is a big fish, if it darts around everywhere with lots of restraint, reel it in.

Fodder
When work at the part-time job at Bob's farm, go into the barn to feed his animals. Feed the animals and you will have two left over. Every day, repeat this process, but use the leftover fodder in your backpack. Everyday you will have two more leftover fodder.

Weather
There will be a lot of clouds in the sky if it is about to rain. There are always clouds in fall, so you will have to watch the television to learn if it is going to rain.

It is very easy to tell if it is a rainy day. When you wake up, if there is music playing then it is a sunny day. However, if there is no music playing, then it is a rainy day.

Secret store
There is a secret "store" in the big mansion near the farm store where you can sell almost everything but you cannot buy anything. The store is on a piece of paper near the refrigerator at the mansion.

Free animal fodder
Take a part time job at Brownie Farms when you are feeding the animals fodder You can steal whatever is left over by putting it in your pack.

Easy money
To make a lot more money very quickly, raise as many cows as you can until they can give out L Milk. After that, keep the milk for about one season, then sell it all. You should get at least 15,000G.

This may be slightly difficult when you are starting out, but is a good way to easily make at least 30,000G in a relatively short period of time. First, buy the Brush for the horses and cows and the Milker from Louis' Store. Then, go to the Farmer's Supply store next to Brownie Farm and then buy as many cows as possible (five if you do not currently have any). This will cost a lot, but it will pay off. Brush and milk these cows until they produce L Milk. Go back to the Farmer's Supply and sell all of the cows. You will receive 30,000G and you can sell all of that good milk they gave you.

Go to the Grocery Store and buy as many S Milks as possible. Then, go to your kitchen and turn them into cheese. Then, go to the Cafe/Bar and sell the cheese for a small profit.

Note: This is a ten day process. When you start with 100G, do part-time work. Leave immediately then go in the store before 8:05 a.m. and ask for part-time work. Brush the horses and cow. Talk to them and milk the cow. Put the fodder in the bins. Note: If done correctly, you will have two extra fodder (put in dog dish). Then go outside and wait until he calls you out at 5:00 p.m. On your way home, stop at Louis' tool shop and sell the milk. By now, you should have 820G. The next day, stop at the supermarket. Buy one egg then go towards the flower shop. Buy six potato seeds and sixteen breadfruit seeds. You should have 330G remaining. Then, go home and cut grass until you find a power berry. Next, till up two or three of your dirt fields and put the egg in the incubator. The chick will hatch in three days. Note: Eggs are better given away than sold. Next, sleep. Then, plant your potatoes in one field and breadfruit in the other two (or just in one if you are out of energy).

To get fast money, put all your money in potatoes. Plant them. When you buy them, you spend will 20G, but they are sold for 60G. Also, they grow quickly. Note: Plant them the day before a rainfall so you do not have to water them. Use the television to find out if it is going to rain.

This trick requires six chickens, If you do not already have that amount, buy some eggs at the store and put them in the incubator. Once you have six chickens, in the morning collect all the eggs, but keep them. Do not use, give, or sell them. Once you have done all the chores around the farm, sell all of your chickens. After you have sold them, you should get about 1,000 G. You will still have chickens. Go back to your farm and put one of your eggs in the incubator. Keep doing this until you have all your chickens back.

Kitchen & Fishing

To get the kitchen, you must get 1o,oooG,do this buy doing part-time work at the brownie farm. get there by taking the right to the village, following the rought to a left, and then a right, now your there. after you have enough money (1o,oooG), go to the carpenter and pay him all the money you need and go home and go to sleep and the next day he'll be outside with Kurt and Joe and looking at the kitchen! you can now cook, go inside and to the left.

To get a fishing rod you must befriend (make friends with) Joe. to do this isn't hard, make him some sweets, or just give him milk, anything from the ground, or an egg. after YOU feel your bond with him is strong, go to the cafe & bar and if your lucky, he'll give you his old rod. you won't land many FISH, but cans and boots. to land a fish after you make the line thought with holding the"X" button, there will be 4 points, up, down, left, and right. when 1 of them is moving in the direction its pointing, move the left analog stick in the direction, and holding doun "X" you will land a fish or item.

Pick Your Horse

Ok, If you want to pick your own horse, that can be arranged.
It's better to start your part-time work early (Go to the Farmers Shop and ask for part-time work). When you first start work, check out all the horses and choose your favorite. When you have decided, Groom and Talk to that horse first. The others don't have to be done in any order, just the first one. Repeat this every day. It's hard work, but don't back out. Take advantage of Thursdays and Rainy Days, when the shop isn't open and you cannot do the work. Collect berries and things to sell. When you have worked for what seems like ages, the guy will ask if you want the horse.

Cheap Chickens

For cheap chickens go to the market and buy an egg for 50$ Then put the egg in the incubator. Wait for it to hatch. It will take a couple of days to lay eggs but it is worth it.

Under-Ground Secrets

In the yard where you plant seeds there are secret items like 10gold pieces or Rare Medals.But some of these items are more rare
than others!To get them out, use your hoe.You may even find patana roots! Most of the items can be sold for gold! Hope every thing goes well [(HINT) most of the items can be sold at
the tool shop or the carpenter shop!

Very Easy Money

Here is a very useful tip to get money. All you have to do is get lots of fodder from the barn and save it until Van comes. Sell the fodder to him. He'll buy one for 10G. Give him ten and you make an easy 100G.

Fairy Gives Berry

If you give the fairy about a total of 30 vegetables she will give you a power berry. Do not give her 30 vegetables at once. Only way she'll accepts it as a gift is if a heart shows up above her head.

Get a dog!

All you have to do is find the dog with the red scarf ( cant get the one with the blue ) and chase him until he is up against a wall and cant get away. Pick him up and it will ask if you want to keep him. Say yes and he is yours!



Horses

Hint: Horses:
After doing Bob's part time work, sometimes he does not give you a horse. If this happens, try giving something sweet such as a Cake, best if baked yourself.

Get the girls

Here is what to do, and what you can do with girls to get them to like you:

Lyla: To get Lyla, you need to grow the Bluemist Flower and once the butterfly shows up, she will return from her trip, and begin to be interested in you.  Talk to her in the evenings sometimes to hear her hint towards her feelings.  Give her Pinkcatmints, show her your dog, and give her any berries.

Gwen: Befriend the Sprites and her to get a picture of the endangered Weasel.  She tries once after a while of talking, but it's not there.  Don't worry, she'll do it again.  Sometimes, if you talk to her just before 7:30pm, on her way into her house( her grandpa is the carpenter)she will hint towards her feelings.  Give her veryberries or show her your dog.  Talk to her around 7pm each evening to hear her ask questions sometimes.

Dia: First you must befriend Gina, then she'll start to like you.  She will give you the magic book that tells of the  required ingredient for your grandmother's cake recipe. She and Gina show you the completed Goddess dress Gina makes.  She likes blueberries best, and cheeses.  Gina's grandmother tells you more about Dia's opinion of you then she does herself.  Sometimes around 6pm though, she hints.

Gina: If you give Gina eggs, she likes you very quickly.  She eventually askes you for help on the Goddess Dress Design she's submitting for the upcoming Flower Festival.  You have to buy the silk thread from Louis when it comes out, then visit the goddess till she eventually takes it from you and weaves "Moonlight" into it to make it shine like her own.  She'll appear at your house to give it back, and you have to go see Gina.  Gina will make the dress and she and Dia will show it to you.  This helps raise up Dia and Gina.  Gina likes eggs mostly, but flowers make her blush, and other things can be good too.  Gina drops little hints she likes you around 4-5pm, but her Grandmother tells you more about her feelings then she does herself.

Katie: The way to Katie's heart is a recipe.  She wants your Grandmother's famouse Cake Recipe, and after she mentions it, you'll find it near your dresser in the house.  If you talk to her enough before she mentions this, she'll not even think of leaving, so go ahead and give her the recipe by walking into the cafe on any work day that it's open.  After giving it to her, she'll randomly give you sample practice cakes.  You'll need to get a chicken and a cow. If you take care of both, the cow will eventually give gold milk, and the chicken will lay a golden egg once.  Give these to Katie.  The only ingredient left is Moondrop Essence.  First, get the magic book from Dia, then, Katie will eventually mention the book.  The essence is made from love, and must be done under a full moon, so Katie will suggest you do it with whoever likes you the most.  She tells you to be in the goddess lake and the girl will come.  Once you get all the ingredients, she can make the cake.  Katie !
likes flowers, blueberries, your dog( as does everyone else), and cooked food from your kitchen.   Katie flirts constantly, escpecially early morning and just before 8:30pm, but her Grandpa reveals a lot of her feelings too.

Most of the girls favorite things can be found in the forest, but some must be made in your kitchen( buy from the carpenter) or bought from a store (generally the food Mart), so save money for the kitchen, animals, animal feed, girl's gifts, etc.  Good Luck!
