Unlock Lord Clyde...the hard way

Unlock Lord Clyde...the hard way
Complete Quest mode completing all objectives, with Molo, Nina, and Dallas to unlock Lord Clyde.
Play your own music
During game play pause the game and insert the cd of your choice. Then go up to track and select the song of your choice.
Unlock Obake(Uzumi)...the hard way
Complete Quest mode with all objectives cleared with Lord Clyde to unlock Obake(Uzumi).
Unlock Boogie...the hard way
Complete Quest mode with all objectives cleared with Obake to unlock Boogie.
No Wheel Attachment Icons
Type in DRIVE_ONLY as a password
Use Same Cars in Mutiplayer
Type in MIXES_CARS as a password.
Put the game into slow motion
Enter this code at the password screen: GO_SLOW_MO
Reduce gravity
Enter this code at the password screen: NO_GRAVITY
Super missiles
Enter this code at the password screen: BLAST_FIRE
Slow motion mode

Wheelies
Hold the hand brake and press the gas until the tires start spinning. Release the handbrake and you will do a wheelie
Rapid Fire Cannon
While playing, be sure to have at least 3 cannon shots. Press down, up, down, up, machine gun.
Rapid-Fire Rockets
While playing, be sure you have 2 rockets and press up, up, up, machine gun.
Sticker Missles
You must have at least 2 Bull's Eye Rockets for this to work. wWhat happens is the rocket sticks into car chasis and pushes it around. up, down, down, machine gun

Enter RAPID_FIRE as a password.
Solitary game (Arcade mode)
Enter HOME_ALONE as a password.
Unlock Houston...the hard way
Complete Quest mode with all objectives cleared with John Torque, the Flying All-Star Trio, and Sheila.
Unlock Convoy...the hard way
Complete Quest Mode with all objectives cleared with Houston.
Unlock Chassey Blue...the hard way
Complete Quest mode with all objectives cleared with Agent R. Chase, Garbage Man, and Bob O.
Unlock Dave's Cultsmen...the hard way
Complete Quest mode with all objectives cleared with Convoy.
Unlock Padre Destino...the hard way
Complete Agent R. Chase's, Astronaut Bob O.'s, and Garbage Man's quests and fulfill ALL of the objectives
Unlock Dusty Earth....the hard way
Finish all quests with Boogie.
Speed Burst
If you have at least 3 homing missles, tap up, up,up, machine gun to shoot a missle that sticks to your car causing it to speed up for a short period of time.
Weapons Moves List
The numbers are how much ammo the move takes up. There is also a definition for each special. MG = Machine Gun

Interceptor Missiles :
Halo Decoy(2) - Up, Up, Down, MG
Afterburner(2) -Up, Up, Up, MG
Rain Missiles(2-4) - Up, Up, Right, MG

Bull's Eye Rockets :
Road Runner(2) - Up, Down, Down, MG;
Stampede(2-5) -Up, Down, Up, MG.

Sky Hammer Mortar :
Turtle Turnover(2) - Down, Down, Down, MG
Crater Maker(2-5) - Down, Down, Up, MG

Brusier Cannon :
Cow Puncher(2) - Up, Down, Up, MG
Buckshot(2-6) - Down, Up, Up, MG

Roadkill Mines :
Bear Hug(2) - Left, Right, Down, MG
Cactus Patch(2-6) - Left, Right, Up, MG
Floating Mine(2) - Left, Right, Right, MG

Original Levels (No V8 disc required)
If you don't have the 1st Vigilante 8 and want to play the old levels, then enter this code: OLD_LEVELS
Original Levels (Vigilante 8 CD required)
Pause game play, remove the game disk, then insert an original Vigilante 8 CD. The message "V8 Levels Enabled" will confirm correct code entry. Insert the Vigilante 8: Second Offense disk again. Quit the current game to access the original Vigilante 8 levels as well as well as the secret levels! NOTE: you cannot save these levels and will have to enter the code each time.
View All Endings
At the password screen enter: LONG_MOVIE. Just click on the character whose ending you want to see. Sometimes the ending link together so you can see the whole story.
How to enter Passwords
Highlight "Game Status" at the Options menu. Then press L1 + R1 and press X twice.

Arizona Aliens
In the Arizona stage, blow up the observatory. Then wait near the crater and you'll see a huge meteor smash into it.Blow up the meteor and an alien that shoots laser beams will come out. Once you kill it another meteor will appear and the process keeps repeating.
Attract enemies
Enter this code at the password screen: UNDER_FIRE
Change car color
When choosing your car press "O" Then you may select your color. You can also control your brightness.
Crater Maker
While playing make sure you have at least 5 morter shells. Then press down, down, down, up, machine gun.
Extra Salvage Points
To get 3 times as much salvage points, destroy your opponents using your special weapon.
Fast action
Enter this code at the password screen: QUICK_PLAY
Attraction mines
You need at least 2 mines for this. When you have the mines, press left, right, then down and machine gun at the same time to get an attraction mine.
Floating Mine
While playing make sure you have at least 2 mines. Then press, left, left, right, right, machine gun.
Easy Weapons at the Launch Site
Go to the tower in the middle of the level. Now go to the tunnel that doesn't go thru. Wait until the lights above are green then drive in. You will be taken up onto the tower and a booster rocket will be straped to the back of your car. Then you will be shot into the air and dropped. there will be anything from specials to radar jammers. You can do this as many times as you want. (NOTE:this trick will not work if the tower is gone!)
Get your regular wheels back
When you recieve a icon that allowes your car to change from wheels to (example)a snow mobile, you might realize that you do not loose it right away. A easy way to return back to your normal wheels is to press the R1+L2 button and the car will have its normal wheels back
How to Fly
When you get Hover Power ups, hold UP and rapidly press X.
High suspensions
Enter this code at the password screen:JACK_IT_UP
Makes cars heavier and better rammers
Enter this code at the password screen: GO_RAMMING
Gives all cars big wheels.
Enter this code at the password screen: GO_MONSTER
Flood Louisiana level
To flood the Louisiana level you go up to the 2 bridges with the wrenches that you cant reach. There should be a wheel, shoot it until the bridge stops going up, then go to the other bridge and do the same, when the 2nd bridge stops moving you'll here a bell ring three times and you'll here the water rushing, hurry and get a water ski power up and you get the high items in quest mode, It only floods for about a minute then the water goes down.
Invincibility
Access the Password screen. Enter the following code to receive Invincibility. This code is good throughout the game.

Enter: ELBICNIVNI

Maximum Statistics
Access the Password screen. Enter the following code receive Maximum Statistics. This code is good throughout the game.

Enter: LLA_DORTOH

Unlock All Cars
Access the Password screen. Enter the following code to unlock all cars. This code is good throughout the game.

Get Password Screen

At the options screen go to game status and press L1 + R1.

Also reported as: To get password screen go to option press x on game status chose 1or2 player depending if you play 1or2 player then press x again so you can scroll thru the charater then press
L1+L2+R1+R2 the password screen should appear you can now enter your cheat

When you have the hoover tires, tap X,X, hold X on the second time you push it...

Cheats Enabled

Play a 1 player mode survivel game using Dallas 13.  Put on all MOLO drivers (the bus).  Pick the Minnesota Level. Now to get the Cheats Enabled secret you have to kill at least 10 buses and stay in the game for at least 15 minutes.  If you do it correctly, you will see "Cheats Enabled" underneath the stats screen (that says how many cars you killed, your time, etc.)

COMBOS

Interceptor missiles:up,up,up,R2=afterburners
                     up,up,down,R2=halodecoy
                     up,up,right,R2=quadattack

Mortar:down,down,down,R2=turtle turnover
       down,down,up,R2=crater maker

Bruiser cannon:down,up,up,R2=buckshot
               down,up,down,R2=cow puncher

Bullseye rockets:up,down,down,R2=road runner

ARIZONA ANTS

In the arizona level blow up the observatory, then go to the huge crater. A huge meteor should hit. Blow it up and a giant ant that shoots lasers will appear. To kill it hit it's head four to five times or hit it with your special. The proccess just keeps on going.
