Cheat: Increase Bouncing

There's no doubt that Dead or Alive has propelled Tecmo's Team Ninja to heights that didn't seem feasible for the then-small developer. Dead or Alive's history is well documented, and before the fourth game of the series hits the next wave of next generation platforms, Tomonobu Itagaki decided it'd be a good idea for gamers to appreciate the series as a whole, instead of just Dead or Alive 3. That's why he has created Dead or Alive Ultimate, which brings the first two games onto the Xbox, with full online capabilities! Sure, the second and third DOA games share a lot of similarities, but those who are familiar with only the third game will find that things are a tad different with DOAU, and that's why we have this fancy schmancy guide here to help you out! What will you find here? Well, for starters, you'll get two guides for the price of one! Since DOAU is a bundle of two games, it only makes sense that you'll receive guides for both games! Cheat: Increase Bouncing
Go to the settings and set your age to 99. This will increase how "bouncy" the girls are.
Unlockable: Hair Styles
Press WHITE or BLACK while selecting characters to alter their hair style.
Unlockable: Change Arenas
Press X or BLACK while selecting a stage to alter the arena.
Unlockable: Tengu
Beat story mode with each character once on any difficulty.
Unlockable: Bayman
Beat the story mode with Leon on normal to unlock Bayman.
Unlockable: Hitomi
To unlock Hitomi, have a DOA 3 save on the Xbox and beat story mode on normal with Ein.
Unlockable: DOA3 Booster Pack
To unlock a bunch of extra costumes for your fighters in DOA3, simply unlock all the alternate costumes in Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate. The Booster Pack will appear as a ninja star on the main menu and you can upload the outfits from their. You'll also receive a CG Gallery for your trouble.
Unlockable: Costume Listing
To unlock costumes, you can play through either Story Mode or Time Attack. However with Hitomi, Bayman, and Tengu, you have to unlock them with Time Attack. Also, when the costumes say they are unlocked on a certain difficulty; that is the earliest one can unlock them.

Kasumi: C3 - C7 (Easy Mode); C8 - C15 (Normal Mode); C16 - C20 (Hard Mode)
Gen Fu: C3 - C4 (Easy Mode); C5 - C8 (Normal Mode)

Hint: DOA Ultimate Unlock Announcers
Complete Exercise Mode in the Sparring, Single Battle Mode. Only Kasumi, Ayane, Tengu and Ein are unlockable.
Unlockable: Alternate Ending for Kasumi and Ayane
Choose Ayane and fight Kasumi (in any difficulty). Right before you kill Kasumi, hit her so that she is almost about to fall off the edge. After that, a new cinematic appears at the end of the fight. I don't want to spoil it, so enjoy.
Unlockable: Extra Config Option and Ring Size
  • Extra Config Option: Beat Arcade Mode
  • Ring Size: Beat Arcade Mode
Hint: DOA1 Adjust Replay
After winning a round, but before the replay screen shows, hold DOWN the Hold and Kick buttons. There will be a fast forward and Rewind icons on the bottom left of the screen. By holding DOWN the Kick button, you rewind the video. While not holding the Kick button DOWN, you allow the replay to playing.
Hint: DOA1 Selecting Win Pose
Hold either Hold + Punch, Punch + Kick, or Hold + Punch + Kick. There is a fourth pose if you win unharmed.
Hint: DOA1 Unlock Raidou
Complete Arcade mode with all characters with Options set to Default Mode.
Hint: DOA1 Unlock Extra Options
Once any of them become available, they can be accessed in the Extra Config screen in the Option Section.
  • Danger Bounce: (adjust how high a character flies when they hit a danger zone) Enter "DOA" as your initials.
  • Ring Size: Complete Arcade Mode once with any character.
  • Fighting Order: Finish Time Attack Mode in under 5 minutes.
Hint: DOA1 Unlockable Costumes
Complete Arcade Mode, with Options set to Default Mode. You can unlock up to six new outfits for each character. To activate them, press UP or DOWN on the directional pad and choose the question mark you want to use.
Hint: Unlocking Everything
On the initial page, you have to use each character and obtain their 3 unique items each, as well as the 4 generic items. You also have to obtain the medal which is dropped after your 50th win on survival (any difficulty) Once you have your first page full on the collection, it will open up a second page, with 15 more items. With each of the 15 fighters again, you must obtain their last unique 'rare' item, and upon doing so, you unlock all costumes, cg gallery and the DOA3 booster pack (for those that don't already have it). Hint: Lei Fang's Hairstyles and Costume Changes
Pushing different buttons allow different hairstyles for Lei Fang when selecting her (Most of her costumes that is):

Hint: Camera Control
The following DOA2 cheat will give you the ability to zoom in and out, and rotate the camera to view your character, after you win the last match with any opponent, and right before the announcer says "winner!"...

  • Camera Zoom: Hold X to Zoom In, release X to Zoom Out
  • Camera Rotation: Press and hold the L button to view the character horizontal left, press and hold the R button to view the character horizontal right
  • Camera with Analog Sticks: Press and Hold the Right Analog Stick to view your character from any direction. Press and hold the Left Analog Stick in a direction to make the screen move your character up, down, left, right, and diagonal.

Note: You can use zoom in and zoom out with the left and right analog sticks, and the L and R buttons.

Increase Bouncing

Beat story mode with each character once on any difficulty.

Unlock Bayman
Play for 10 hours to unlock Bayman.

Adjust Camera during Celebration
During the ending celebration after each battle, you can move the camera. By pressing either the left or right trigger, you can turn the screen, up to, 90 degrees clockwise or counter-clockwise. By using the right analog stick up or down, you can move the screen over or under the character.

Alternate Hairsytles
When selcting your character's costume, confirm your selection with either XY or the White button to change Kasumi and Lei Fang's hair.
XY with Kasumi will give her a pony tail.
White with Kasumi will give her a braid.
XYWhite with Lei Fang will have her hair down.

Alternate Level Select
Press X on the following stages to play a variation of that level.

Alternate Hairstyles
With Kasumi and Lei Fang, they have up to 4 different hairstyles; available by pressing up to 4 different buttons corresponding to the hairstyle. For Kasumi, all 4 hairstyles are accessible for all [20] costumes.A: Loose Hair.X: High Ponytail.Y: Low ponytail.White: Low braid.For Lei Fang her hairstyles are a little different. C4:A/White: Ponytail.X: Loose hair.Y: Braids.C6/C8/C13:A: Bun.X: Loose hair.Y: Ponytail.White: Braids.Every other costume:A/Y/White: Braids.X: Loose hair.

Extra Collection Items in Survival Mode
While playing in survival, if you punch or kick your opponent while they are lying on the ground, they will drop a collection item.

Unlocking Everything
On the initial page, you have to use each character and obtain their 3 unique items each, as well as the 4 generic items. Hidden Xbox and Christie photograph in "The Crimson"
In the level "The Crimson" if you knock someone through the glass window on the upper level, you will go to another area. In this area is a picture of Christie from "Dead or Alive 3" on the wall, as well as a Prototype Xbox connected to a T.V. If you hit someone into the Xbox and T.V., the Xbox will light up and the Xbox logo will be displayed on the screen.

Lighting up Zack's costumes
On Zack's C3 and C5 costumes, if you taunt during a match, they will light up for the round. If you taunt again, it will turn off.

Genfu Hat Trick
On Costume 3, use the Tenseiha appeal to make him take off his hat. If you win the battle, he will put his hat back on and say something different.

Perfect round victory poses
In all modes (except Story Mode and Sparring Mode), if you play a perfect round (in other words, don't lose any health), you'll get a victory pose that you can only see if you play a perfect round. Some characters will even have a second "Perfect Round" victory pose if you can get two perfect rounds.

New Costumes and Characters in Multiplayer

In order for you to get new costumes for your characters all you need to do is beat the game (story mode) and it will say that you unlocked a costume, and sometimes you'll get a new character for Multiplayer.

More Costumes

To unlock more costumes, play through story mode with every character. With Hitomi and Bayman, complete time attack mode.

Kasumi- costumes 3-7 on easy
        costumes 8-14 on normal
        costumes 15-20 on hard
Ayane-  costumes 3-7 on easy
        costumes 8-14 on normal
        costumes 15-20 on hard
Tina-   costumes 3-7 on easy
        costumes 8-14 on normal
        costumes 15-16 on hard
Lei Fang-
        costumes 3-7 on easy
        costumes 8-14 on normal
        costumes 15-20 on hard
Helena- costumes 3-7 on easy
        costumes 8-11 on normal
        costumes 12-13 on hard

Hair Style

Beat the game on normal difficulty with Leon

Unlock Kasumi's 4th Outfit

Finish the game with Kasumi to get the school girl outfit

Unlock Hayabusa's 4th Outfit

Finish the game with Hayabusa to get the ninja outfit

Unlock Zack's 4th Outfit

Finish the game with Zack to get the white outfit
