Unlockable: Bonus Cars

Unlockable: Bonus Cars
  • Delfino Feroce: Complete the Kudos Challenge on Steel.
  • Ferrari 250 GTO: Complete the Kudos Challenge on Bronze.
  • Mercedes CLK-GTR: Complete the Kudos Challenge on Gold.
  • Porsche 911 GT1: Complete the Kudos Challenge on Silver.
  • TVR Cerbera Speed 12: Complete the Kudos Challenge on Platinum.
Play Geometry Wars
First, go to the Kudos World Challenge. From there to the the car select screen. Then go to your garage. Once in your garage, press Y to walk around freely. Walk over the the arcade machine and press A. This will allow you to play the arcade game Geometry Wars, which was created just for PGR 2.
Hint: Color Yourself On Xbox Live
Like a particular color on your wheels? When you are on Xbox Live either host or join a game. Then select the car you want to change the color of (example, Porsche 911 GT1 white).

Then select a car from another class and in the color you want (example, Golf R32 blue). Hit the red button (B) until you get to the screen that says Single Player, go into Kudos Challenge and go to the area where your first car is (the Porsche 911 GT1 white in the example) and hit the green button (A) until you get to the screen with the little picture of the car on the top right of the screen.

Now go back into your created game of join a game on xbox live and your car will the be color you chose. (the example Porsche 911 GT1 white will now be blue).
Hint: Play Custom Soundtrack in Live Lobby
First, go into your options and select "Organize Custom Soundtracks". In this menu, just select a song from your custom sounds that you want to hear and select "play". The song will start playing--then hit Y to pull up your friends/players options and just quick join to one of your friends. You will be in the lobby on Live, hearing your own tunes.

Any Car You Want Playing Xbox Live
You have to have two people playing Xbox Live to do this code. Have Player 1 go to the car selection screen. Player 1 selects the car they want, then press B. Have Player 2 go to the car selection screen and highlight any car. Player 1 then presses A. Then repeat the same thing but have Player 2 highlight the car they want. When you're using the car in a race, it'll be invisible.

Unlock all cars
At the menu screen. Hold R and black and press x,b,a,y. Then you will have all the cars.

Unlock Geometry Wars
First, go to the Kudos World Challenge. From there to the the car select screen. Then go to your garage. Once in your garage, press Y to walk around freely. Walk over the the arcade machine and press A. This will allow you to play the arcade game Geometry Wars, which was created just for PGR 2.

Any color car you want:
In order to do this, you must be playing on Xbox Live. In the room, Pick any color car you want outside of the class of cars you want. Then you exit out of the game and go to single player and go onto ghost challenge, pick any race and then pick the car you want. Don't select it all the way, highlight it and then when it ask for automatic or manual transmission, back out of there and go back to the room. You will now have the color car you want on your favorite car.

High scoring
There seems to be a loop hole to get great combo bonuses. Unlike the original Project Gotham Racing, this game allows you to go through the cone gates twice. You can go through either forwards or backwards, and hence build up your combo bonuses.

Cone challenges
When playing cone challenges, remember that it is all about the Kudos. If you look at the top ten ghosts of the Cone Challenge, you will see that people do not complete them fairly. They blatantly cheat by doing many, donuts, slides, and cone gates to accumulate the points. Even though this is not completely fair, it is also not that easy.

Better driving and faster laps
Notice that on all tracks there are skid marks (darker tarmac) before turns and fast bends. When you approach the darker tarmac, hit the brakes and make a concentrated, cleaner turn. This will ensure a faster time and less mistakes.

Geometry Wars mini-game
Go into the garage and press [Y] to enter walk mode. Go to the area where there is an arcade game next to some tool boxes and rims, to the right of the garage door. Press [A] to play the Geometry mini-game. To quit the game, press [B], then [A]. Note: The arcade game is usually in the north area of the garage.

Win the the Kudos Challenge with a Steel medal.

Ferrari 250 GTO
Win the Kudos Challenge with a Bronze medal.

Mercedes CLK-GTR
Win the Kudos Challenge with a Gold medal.

Porsche 911 GT1
Win the Kudos Challenge with a Silver medal.

TVR Cerbera Speed 12
Win the Kudos Challenge with a Platinum medal.
