For many, college is about pensive study, thought-provoking discussion, the comfort of a peer group and acceptance of ideas. For everyone else, it's about football and beer.

Hint: SMU vs. BYU Made Easy
In the College Classic Mode, make the SMU Vs. BYU game much easier by turning off penalties in the Pause Menu. This way, you can kick very short onside kicks (which are easier to recover) and not get penalized.
Hint: Five Year Plan
It is possible to get five full years of eligibility for any of your players in dynasty mode. Begin by recruiting a player but do not redshirt him during freshman year.

Now before you end the season go to your rosters and use "Formation Subs" to sub the player into as many formations as you will want to use him in the next year.

Advance to the new season after doing all the normal off-season tasks. Go to the "Preseason Options" menu. Redshirt the player that you formation subbed. Exit the menu, set up your schedule and start playing.

The player that you redshirted will be in all the formations that you subbed him into. He will not appear on the depth chart and you will not be able to sub him into any other positions, but you will be able to use him and build up stats. So, when he is done with his redshirt season he will be a RS Sophomore but have played for two years with three more years possible (Sophomore, Junior, and Senior) for a total of five years of eligibility.

Easy Blocking

You hit b while you hike the ball. Then an extra blocker comes. If it doesn't work you hit b at the same time you hike the ball.

Better Onside Kicks

To have a better chance of receiving an onside kick kick the ball as you would normally except angle it as far down and as far to the side as possible and when you start the kick meter try to land it directly in the middle of the accuracy meter. Once you have kicked the ball manually take control of a player and land on the ball. If you do it correctly it should work every time.

Easy passing or rushing yards

To get easy passing yards, select Hail Mary - 5 wide.  Scramble out of the pocket to the left (You have to do his at the beginning of the play).  One of the Cornerback's or Linebacker's should commit to you and that leaves a receiver open or if they don't you can scramble easily for a first down.  This should work at least every 8/10!

Touchdown Celebrations

When you score a TD and the word touchdown first appears press the following button combinations.NOTE:you can get a 15 yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.

L+B: spike ball,Points to crowd and hits chest

L+Y: bows to crowd

L+X: Spikes ball and shrugs shoulders

L+A: Heisman Trophy pose

R+B: dunk on goal post

R+X: puch ball towards crowd

R+Y:Kick ball into crowd

R+A: throws ball into crowd

Touchdown celebrations
When you score a TD, the word "Touchdown" appears. When it first appears, press the following button combinations. Note: This could also get you an 15 yard Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty.

[L] + [B] : Player spikes the ball, points to the crowd, then beats his chest.

[L] + [Y] : Player bows to the crowd.

[L] + [X] : Player spikes the ball, then shrugs his shoulder.

[L] + [A] : Player does Heisman Trophy pose.

[R] + [B] : Player will dunk on the Goal Post.

[R] + [Y] : Player will punch the ball towards the crowd.

[R] + [X] : Player will kick the ball into the crowd.

[R] + [A] : Player will throw the ball to the crowd.

Easy punt blocks
To block punts, its easier to turn the offsides penalty off to get a head start on the offensive line. Choose a corner or a running back (someone that is fast enough and tall enough) and do one of the two; blitz the kicker and tackle him, which takes yardage off your opponent's rushing yards in the game, or jump and block the kick. This is not a play that works all of the time. However it usually works in the punt return play, and not the punt block play. Also, it never hurts to use a little play action once every series or so.

Longer punts
Choose to punt out of bounds left or right. The defense will not go into punt coverage. Simply move the arrow to the middle of the field and just boom it. If a returner does get back in time to field it, he will muff it most of the time. This works great for making sure the opposing team has a long field to work with, as well as getting your Punter All-American status.

When you line up to punt the ball away, point the arrow straight down. If timed correctly, you will punt the ball at least 70 yards almost every time.

Quicker tackle
When you are defending a receiver and they make a catch, press [Y], You can use that as quicker tackle, as well as intercept passes.

Kickoff
When kicking off, choose "Kickoff Left" or "Kickoff Right", whichever way the wind is blowing. The CPU will almost always pick "Return Middle". When you kick the ball, the return man will be alone and your coverage can nail him around the 15 yard line. Be careful not to kick the ball out of bounds.

Big plays
When you get a QB crossed over the line by having a profile to get, you can cross the line of scrimmage and still throw the football.
