Polly Has Some Good Crackers

Whenever you see a crow sitting in a tree or on the ground, try and shoot it. If you hit it they leave behind several goodies, about 80% of the time they leave behind Spinel diamonds, and they are good for a trade in once you encounter the merchant, and I did get 9mm bullets from one.

 

Alternate Costumes

Beat the game once to unlock alternate costumes for Leon and Ashley.

Killing EI

Looking at all the Websites about Resident evil 4 i have noticed that not alot of people know they most efficient way of killing the Ogre/EI yes you are supposed to target the Bug on his back, but if you damage him enough that he bends down on one knee, if you walk up to him and press the action button you will climb up on him and you slash away at the bug from on top of him, doing this about three times will bring him down, not to mention you save some ammo.

The Big Cheese

After you fight Either the Bella Sisters (chainsaw girlies) or The Ei (Ogre) you come to the exit of the Village which you need and Eyeball to get past, then you make your way to the lift, then its The Big Cheese usually i jus blow him away with my shotgun, but he usually doesn't stop moving either way, i recommend using grenades and shotgun. But if you don't have grenades you can climb up the ladder (either one works) and there's a Metal plate mounted to the wall if you hide behind that he cants get you as long as your up against the wall, threes a square hole in the bottom of that plate. you can either aim your rifle, handgun, or any weapon of your choosing threw that hole and fire away, but after you have blown off his legs this tatic does not work, so he will be jumping threw the rafters and clawing at you, so your best bet is to stay on the ground, and we he starts to swing towards you, shoot him with the shot gun, after you have grounded him once or twice his eye should fall out and that's that..

Krauser. An American

Ok he's a bugger. He's shooting at you like mad jus throw grenades or shoot him with the rifle or shoot some Mines at him. Eventually he will come close quarters with you, when he does use your shotgun and he moves really fast so don't miss. when you do enough damage he will use a flash grenade and run away...baby. So jus run around grab items, and make your way to the insignias. He will appear many times and run away many times jus do the same thing, after you have grabbed the 2nd insignia, he will come for you the final time, except this time he grows a big arm that's bullet proof. Even rocket launchers. So I recommend putting yourself in a corner, and fighting him from one side, He will run towards you with his wing protecting him so I suggest that you shoot his feet until he exposing his chest then let him have it, do this repeatedly until he dies then you got a timer on you to get the the gateway. they opened a shortcut for you, so don't mess it up.

Protecting Ashley

Once you get Ashley, and you try to make your way to the extraction point, look around for these little red dumpsters, you can tell her to hide in them. then once you've disposed of all of the lingering villagers, you can call her from anywhere, (even from across the entire village!!) but make sure there aren't any villagers, cuz they will snatch her up and try to take her away.

 

Hint Boss Fight

When you get back from the lake and come to the save/shop area go to the merchant, sell your shot ( if you have no room left) and buy the rocket launcher. You will be going up against a pretty big monster now. go out side and head for the church. A bunch of the possessed people will get massacred by this lord of the ring troll look-a-like and the battle will begin. go around and pick up all the items, get out your machine gun and start blasting away. the dog you saved from the trap earlier in the game will assist you. blast at the creature until a tentacle comes out of his back, he will bend down so shoot the tentacle. after repeating this several times equipped the rocket launcher and blast him down for the final time. The launcher disappears after you use it so go back and buy your shot gun back if you wish. now you can head back to the church and save ashley.....or do you?

Ammo hint

There is a sort of hint that helps you Rambo types. When you fight anyone with any type of gun, there is a 50% chance that when you hit there body you don't get any ammo or weapons, however there is a loop hole in the game. When you are being attacked by various village people etc. and you run low on ammo, make sure you aim straight for the head until you kill them. That's is when constantly you get ammo, yea so keep repeating the process until your gun is fully loaded, and make the game a little easier for yourself. (note: this worked on the first two stages and I am not sure if it somehow becomes harder to find, but this is a good start!!)

Conserve Ammo

Try to hit your enemy on the head or on their heart, this will save a lot of ammo through the game where it will get harder and need all the ammunition you can get.

Good Dog

When you see a dog stuck in a bear trap, save him. He will run away but he will help you out later in the game.

 

Bear Traps and C4 Evasion

To avoid Bear Traps, simply shoot the middle of the trap.
For Bombs, shoot the bombs themselves from a safe distance.

Island Baddies

Later in the game you'll reach a mysterious Island. The island is filled with freaks that will make you wish you were fighting villagers. First, there are some common enemies that have no armor whatsoever. Shoot 'em in the head or heart. There are some that have helmets, shot 'em in the heart. Then some big commando guy with a huge gun will start shooting at you. Don't get hit. Get cover and throw grenades at him.
Another way to beat him easy is to make him climb windows. Shoot him while he's climbing a window.

Eventually, you'll reach some fortress and you will find some big guys that look like cyborgs. Its best to shoot at their heads with the rifle or magnum. As if things weren't bad enough, a new creature called "The Regenerators" will attack you. If you shoot at them, their body parts will grow back. The best course of action is to run past them and do avoid getting hit by them. Eventually you'll reach a regenerator with a keycard stuck to his torso. You have to kill him, shoot his legs, when he falls to the floor, throw grenades.

Buy the body armor from the merchant. It reduces all damage taken by 30%. Dont waste ammo and you wont have much trouble. At least till you rescue ashley, then it gets extremely hard.

 

More guns from the Merchant

If you beat the game and operation Ada the merchant will let you buy three new guns from him, which are the chicago typewriter, infinite rocket launcher and Matilda.

Dog Fighting

During Chapter 2, you'll often be attacked by dogs, some of which have bugs on their backs. These can be very frustrating to try to kill. However, they're actually some of the easiest enemies in the game. The first time you see them, you'll be near the lake. Just run back to the boat and harpoon them to death. For all the others, just run past them. They can't attack you when you're moving, even if you run straight at them. Even Ashley can outrun them, as long as you keep the B button held down the entire time.

Regenerator Killing Tip

Ok since nobody seems to know how to kill these guys I'll tell you what me and my buddy figured out. I forget where I found it but at some point in the game you will get an infra-red scope. Equip this with your rifle. When you aim at a regenerator now, you will see little red areas on its body. These red areas are the locations of the parasites. Shoot each of these areas, the red spots will disappear, then shoot him once in the head. The body should get huge and explode.

Final Showdown

To Start off, When you enter the part were Saddler is you should have a rocket launcher. Now take it out and fire it at him. He will fall to the ground and you will have little time to get on his back and stab him in the eye. Now you have to shoot at the eye's on his legs to get him on the ground. Repeat this six more times, then Ada will throw Leon an Improved Rocket launcher that you have to hit Saddler with. He will die and you will get the sample then you will just have to see for yourself what happens.

Hand Cannon

To get this magnum you first have to beat the game. Once you do that you will get a mercanaries minigame, play it and get 5-star ratings on each level with all the characters. To unlock the other characters you need a 4-star rating on each level. You can unlock ada in the village. You can unlock krauser in the castle. You can unlock h at the fort. You can unlock wesker at the bay.

	Infinite Handcannon All you have to do is when you run out of bullets is you sell it to the Merchant and buy it back, remember it's FREE. When you buy it back you should have 3 bullets in it. But make sure you unlock it by getting all 5 star rank with all characters in all levels.
	Unlimited Ammo if you find shotgun handgun or any other ammo go to the merchant and sell one bullet then save and reset the game cube. When you get back on you will have more ammo so go and have some BLOODY FUN!!!

Snake in the Box
Sometimes when you destroy the wooden crates a snake will jump out and bite you. If you keep slashing with your knife when the box breaks you can kill the snake and receive a healing egg.

Special Costumes
After beating the game the first time, when starting a new game or playing a Round Two game, a new option appears that allows for Leon and Ashley to wear special costumes. Leon wears an R.P.D. uniform, Ashley wears pop sensation clothes, and Ada wears her black outfit from her mini-game.

Unlock Broken Butterfly Weapon
In the hall south of the hedge maze there is a locked door. Return to that area with Ashley, piggy back with her and she will unlock the door. This reveals the broken butterfly.

Unlock Matilda Weapon
Unlock the Matilda handgun (which fires 3 round bursts) by clearing the game.

Unlock Hand Cannon Weapon
Get the five star ranking on the mercenaries mini-game to unlock the Handcannon.

Unlock Chicago Typewriter Weapon
Beat Operation Ada, and the "Chicago Typewriter", a Thompson with 10.0 firepower, infinite ammo, no reload, and the fire rate of a maxed out TMP, becomes available at the merchant.

Unlock Rocket Launcher
In order to unlock the Rocket Launcher Special you beat the game on Normal and you get a chance too buy the Matilda and the Infinite Launcher. The Matilda is $70,000 and the Infinite Launcher is $1000000.

Unlimited Ammo Handcannon
Fully upgrade the Handcannon's firepower, reload, and capacity. The 'exclusive' option then raises the attack power to 99.9 and gives infinite ammo.

Looking at Ashley the wrong way
When Ashley is following you find something somewhat high off of the ground and climb on top. Then tell Ashley to stay put. Go below where you left Ashley standing. When you are underneath and you try to move the C-Stick up to look at Ashley, she will ask Leon what is he looking at and call him a pervert.

Killer7 Endorsement
Later in the game, the Merchant has a gun called "Killer7". This powerful magnum shares the name of an upcoming title by Capcom called "Killer 7".

Free Ammo
When you upgrade any weapon's capacity at a merchant, he will refill the magazine free of charge. This is very helpful with the magnum, or TMP

Get extra money and items
At various points throughout the game, you will come across different animals such as crows and fish. These animals can be shot and will reveal different items or amounts of money to obtain.

Hidden Trailers
If you don't push any buttons at the title screen. Then after about a minute or so a never-before-seen trailer will play. If you do the same thing at the title screen after the 1st trailer has played then the trailer from The Tokyo Game Show of 2004 will play. It will play these 2 trailers for as many of times as you don't push any buttons at the title screen.

Quick Aiming
There is a quick way to center your gun when aiming up or down. Simply tap the L1 button (takes out your knife) and you will quickly aim straight ahead.

Raise Max Health
If you mix: GREEN HERB + RED HERB + YELLOW HERB. It restores your health completely and raises your max health.

The First Shotgun
There are three main buildings in the village where you first see the chainsaw not-zombie. The shotgun is in the northeast building, on the second floor of the house.

Los Gigante
In Chapter 1-1, along the path towards the village you will run along a white dog trapped in a bear trap. If you help this dog he comes in handy later when you are fighting Los Gigante for the first time. About midway through the fight, you will hear the dog bark and he will come to your aid. Los Gigante becomes distracted, and begins to attack the dog rather than you.

Funny Character Animations
When Ashley is standing on a ledge and you are below her, look up at her and she will hold down her skirt and say something about you being a pervert and one or two other funny lines.

Double Broken Butterfly Ammo
If you buy the broken butterfly before you find it, you can hold twice the ammo. The shopkeeper will not sell you this gun if you already have it.

Lake Shooting
When you are at the lake before you face Del Lago (the thing in the water) stand on the dock right before the water and start firing into the water. The creature will not appreciate this.

Quick Side Turn
While holding R, tilt the C-Stick left or right, then quickly release and pull the R trigger again. You will turn almost instantly towards that direction.

Get Two Attacks on Saddler
When fighting Saddler, knock him down and stand near his eyeball head so that the "Knife" action appears. Shoot him instead and then start tapping "A" to do the action attack as well.

Big Money
In the Castle after you get out of the sewer you will appear at the top of a large ball room wear there are some monks doing a sacrifice. If you alert them they all run away but if you throw a grenade down every single person you kill will drop a spinel or a los illuminados pendent.

Green Or White?
Leon can't leave Ashley when he transitions into a new area (signified by the blurring effect); however, he can leave Ashley safe in the corner of a dangerous area then call her over when its safe. You can instantly tell if Leon is about to leave an area if the OPEN or context command is printed in green. If the command is printed in white, Leon will simply open the door to another section of the area. Use this to plan out where Leon can leave Ashley to brave the dangers ahead.

Chasing Ashley
The enemies who captures Ashley will seek to leave by the nearest area exit; these are the exits that have the "green" OPEN or context command as opposed to the normal "white" text. If they manage to reach one of these exits, then the game is over. When leaving Ashley to do stuff alone, be sure not to leave her near a green exit door.

Unlock Exclusive Upgrades
Once you have fully upgrades every stat for a specific weapon, you can purchase an expensive "Exclusive" upgrade for that weapon.
Note: Killer7 has no "Exclusive" Upgrade.

0.40 fire speed for Semi-auto rifle - completely upgrade Semi-auto rifle

How to kil big cheese

If you got enough money buy a rocket launcher and tune up the pistols firepower and when you meet him dont shoot him now use your pistol and shoot him until he falls apart and he climbs on the things then you get your rocket launcher then hes dead.

If you shoot the villigers not zombies in the heart or head it saves ammo.

eXTRA goLD IN THE tomb

Check the tomb in the second room with the falling spikes and crawling critters just before the crazy cartride part for extra cash.

mo' money mo' money

Use the jewel you get from salazar's number two with the insignia found at the elevator altar together with the crown for better value with the merchant. Use magnum guns to stun the blind claw dudez from the front, then in the back once they turn around. MERCENARIES TIP  On the castle mercenaries level  use wesker and blind the first few zombies.  kill the shielded one and one or two more by thrust punches, let the rest chase you upstairs.  take out the two bowmen up and to the left on the wall before anything else.  get the time, and turn around, staying close to the wall. they'll keep coming, but leave at least one or two alive, taking out the arrow guys on the wallwith your rifle only to keep the streak going.  IF you move to the right place, you will only be able to see their heads and they won't be able to shoot you. up to around 25 in a row then kill the claw guy that runs up the stairs.  back down and through the door up the stairs, killing one or two QUICKLY on the stairs, up and four guys (two shields) then up the next set of stairs killing all these.  once your streak expires, go down the stairs one level, and out the door on the right to the bonus time.  run past the bowmen as they can't shoot you if you are right up on them or moving. grab the bonus time.  kill the bowmen on the far wall while more enemies arrive, then fight your way up the stairs.  quickly kick the door on the left open, blast the two zombies with a shotgun, throw a grenade, turn around and clear out the room behind you. let the streak expire.  get the bonus time in the chest.  proceed through the door, and get the red herb.  kill these guys, then more time through the next door and quickly turn right, run forward, take out the cutscene enemies,collect barrels, then lose the streak. run past the enemies through the door to the final room.  collect items, and just before you are attacked grab the bonus time.  if clawmen appear leave and wait until you have a streak of more then twelve to kill him.  return to the room and kill the other clawman in armor.  i don't know why all three don'[t come out every time. but this will consistently earn you over 130000 pts if you do it right. killing enemies without a streak is nearly pointless, and killing major enemies during bonus time wastes their better score.

Money and herbs

Save and sell your red green and yellow herbs for 10000.  red and green is a full refill anyway. green and yellow boost your stamina without red. try to only save and use first aid sprays for health, as they cost 10000 but only sell for 5000. never make triple green, you'll just waste an herb. two is sufficient for any situation or stamina level.
