Beat ten races in multi-player to unlock these cars

Unlockable: Grand Prix Cars
After you beat a stage in Grand Prix, you can unlock the following cars:

Stage 1: RT Pink Mappy, RT Blue Mappy, RT Xevious Red
Stage 2: RT Nebulastray, RT Bosconian, Galaga RT Red
Stage 3: Galaga RT Blue, RT Xevious Green, Dig Racing Team
Stage 4: Micro Mouse Mappy, 13th Racing Kid, Galaxian Paradise
Stage 5: Racing Team Peach, Assoluto Infinito, Age Solo S
Stage 6: Atomic Purple, DK Team Racing, Terrazi Terrific
Stage 7: Burning Nightmare
Stage 8: Racing Team Luigi
Unlock Songs
  • Galaga Pac Jam: Unlock the Pooka car. You have to race more than ten multi-player races.
  • Mushroom Kingdom II: Unlock DK Team Racing. You have to beat DK Team Racing in Car Attack Mode after winning Grand Prix 6.
Hint: Reverse Track
Go to the main menu and select either Quick Race or Single Player, use any car. Start the race get in 5th gear, and right before you get to 6th make a U turn. You should see a tall cement wall and there will be yellow and black caution stickers. When you see the WORNG WAY sign keep going straight, (it does not matter what gear you are in). Hit the wall and when you go through the wall all the turns will be in reverse.

Reverse Track
To play on a reverse track, drive forward at the starting point until you get to fifth gear. Then, make a "U" turn and drive towards the wall. If done correctly, you will hit sixth gear and the wall will disappear. The track will now be in reverse.

To unlock the Intro Movies for the other Ridge Racer games, as well as the Ridge Racers car artwork, you need to complete specific Tours as follows:

Ridge Racer 5 Intro Movie - Complete EX Tour 34
Ridge Racers 2004 E3 Demo Movie - Complete EX Tour 35
Rave Racer Arcade Intro Movie - Complete EX Tour 36

Machine Design Collection 2 - Complete EX Tour 38
Machine Design Collection 3 - Complete EX Tour 39

Unlockable Cars in time atack
To be able to race the following cars in 'Car Attack Mode' you must first defeat the Grand Prix in which the specified race is located. Example: To race RT Pink Mappy car in Car Attack Mode you must first defeat Grand Prix '1' After that go to Car Attack Mode and race the car in the Ridge Racer Novice Course.

13th Racing Kid - Beat 13th Racing Kid in Car Attack Mode (After winning Grand Prix 4)
Age Solo S - Beat Age Solo S in Car Attack Mode (After winning Grand Prix 5)
Assoluto Infinito - Beat Assoluto Infinito in Car Attack Mode (After winning Grand Prix 5)
Atomic Purple - Beat Atomic Purple in Car Attack Mode (After winning Grand Prix 6)
Burning Nightmare - Beat Burning Nightmare in Car Attack Mode (After winning Grand Prix 7)
Dig Racing Team - Beat Dig Racing Team in Car Attack Mode (After winning Grand Prix 3)

Rally-X Car
Achieve a score of 50,000 points or greater in the Rally-X mini-game then go to World Tour mode and you will recieve a message and movie unlocking the Rally-X special class car.
