All the coke lords and shootouts and vendettas make for a lot of quality entertainment. Without 80's crime we wouldn't have had Miami Vice, Scarface, Tango & Cash , and now... Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Set firmly in the Reagan Era, Vice City is a continuation of everything you learned from the first game. If you think that by now you're a smooth criminal, think again. Vice City packs a lot of new stuff into the experience: new missions, new weapons, new music, new cars, tons of secret jumps and hidden packages, and, of course, lots and lots of cops to avoid.

Hint: Reduced Felony

If you want to kill cops without receiving a load of wanted stars, use the main blade of a helicopter and angle it so that the blade hits them. You accrue less "wanted points" this way.

Hint: Instant Health Power-Up

This trick worked in GTA III as well. Drive up next to a hooker and wait. If you're driving a swank enough car, she'll start talking to you. Eventually, she'll get into the car. At this point, drive to a quiet spot and let the magic happen. The car will start rocking, and your "health" will grow from 100 to 125. Your pocketbook will take a hit though. This health-up only works until the next time you die.

Hint: Porno Flyers

After you complete the mission that dumps porn flyers all over the city, the flyers will continue to blow around town as long as you're playing the game.

Hint: Free Money From Parking Meters

Drive over parking meters to empty cash into the streets. It's free money!

Easter Egg: He Sleeps With the Fishes

Get a boat... and go between The "Leaf Links" Golf club and the third island. GO up to the rock and stop your boat get the sniper rifle in the cheat and look down on the rocks you will see a man in boxers with concrete on his feet.

Hint: Enter Golf Course Without Losing Your Weapons

Here is a way to enter the golf course without having your weapons get confiscated. First, take the Comet nearby and drive it next to the fence. Get out and jump onto the car. Jump onto the fence, and then jump onto the second fence at a diagonal angle and drop down past it. You will make it into the golf course with all your weapons. This trick can be useful for the "Four Iron" mission.

Hint: Increase the Tank's Speed

Turn the tank's turrent around so it faces backwards. Now keep firing while accelerating and you will go a lot faster.

Hint: Buy Companies Wisely

An advantage of buying expensive companies rather than smaller ones first is you can get more money in return. For example, if you buy the Print Works for $70,000, you can get $8,000 dollars a day to make buying the other companies easier. Don't forget that you have to complete a certain mission in the Vercitti Missions before you can purchase companies, and you also need to finish the missions related to those companies.

Hint: Beach Ball

Go to Starfish island. When heading west, go into the first house on the right. In the empty pool there is a beach ball. When you run into it, it will bounce. Bounce it on your head and numbers will appear. (The trick is to always be in the shadow of the ball.)

Hint: Scarface Easter Egg

There's a Scarface easter egg in the form of a bloody bathroom and a chainsaw weapon.

Go to the Pay N' Spray at Ocean beach, then go south and take the first left. On your left, you'll see a two story apartment with two sets of stairs on the second floor.

Head up the stairs to the right and you'll see a black doorway. Check out the bathroom in apartment 3c and compare it to the movie.

Hint: Easier Flight From Justice (Cortez)

Once you reach the final mission for Cortez, it's a long mission of shooting boats and people, just do this: get 2 cars and park them in the pier next to the one to enter Cortez's missions, and put them in a way so that its practically impossible to get across through the pier (it's easier than it sounds), and go do the mission. When you start the mission a cutscene will come that shows a bunch of people trying to come through the pier you blocked, but they can't. They really would have if not done. Then you can relax on your boatride with Colonel Cortez. There may me a few people at the end but it makes life a whole lot easier since you saved yourself a lot of trouble of killing about fifty to seventy people.

Hint: "Easter Egg" Easter Egg

Head to the 8-10 VCN Building (the news building) on the west island of Vice City. The news building is by the northern bridge entrance on the west island. You can enter the door of the news building and head up to the roof.

Along with the news chopper, there's an easter egg you can get to. There's another buiding close by, but on an angle with the window closest to the edge of the heliport. Make a sprinting jump through the window and you should see an empty room with an easter egg in the middle.

Hint: See the Village People

Go into the Malibu Club and take a gander at the stage. There, you'll find a reasonable facsimile of the Village People.

Hint: Bullet Proof Cars

Admiral. Also fire-proof, explosion-proof, and collision-proof. Activate the Guardian Angels mission (from Colonel Cortez), and kill the Haitian gang members. The Admiral is the white car Diaz drives in the cut-scene. Deliberately fail the mission by killing Diaz, Lance, or letting the Haitian biker escape with Diaz's money.

Once the mission fails, the Admiral's doors will be unlocked and you can drive it back to the garage of your choice. Naturally, you will need to purchase property that has a garage first.

Sabre Turbo. Pick up a sniper rifle or assault rifle that allows Tommy to shoot through a first person view. During the mission "The Driver" (this mission is available only after certain conditions are met, primarily buying the Malibu Club) remain at the Malibu Club and wait for the Sabre Turbo come for the race. When it does, shoot the driver in the head and sieze it quickly before the cops come. The Sabre Turbo is faster than the Admiral, but is not collision proof.

Hint: Shoot the Moon

The moon changes size when shot at with the Sniper Rifle, just like in GTA 3.

Easter Egg: Find the Easter Egg

Leap off the corner of the VCTV building toward the nearest building to find a hidden room that contains a secret easter egg.

Hint: Rob the Bank

After you've completed the Malibu mission "The Job", you can rob El Banco Corrupto Grande for some easy money. Walk in and turn right up the stairs. This will earn you a four star wanted level. Walk into the manager's office to get 1/3 of the cash. The rest is in the room with the elevator, on the right side. Then jump off the balcony and run out. To shake the cops, you can turn left to the nearby Pay N' Spray. It's not much, but it's easy cash.

Hint: Ammo Trick

If you pick up the regular shotgun at your hidout (from starfish island) and then go out and find the spas or benelli shotgun out in the city, your 50 shells from the regular shotgun will be transfered to the new upgraded gun you picked up. If you were to pick up the upgraded shotgun without doing this you would only recieve 20 or so shells but this way you get roughly 70. This trick works with other guns also that share simular bullets.

Hint: Dial the Numbers

Write down the phone numbers you hear on the radio commercials in the game. They all work! Here's a list:

How to make your own radio station
Go to the folder mp3 ( C:Program FilesRockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto Vice Citymp3 ) and copy the songs you want to play in your radio station.Now start the game,get into a car and turn the radio to the radio station MP3 PLAYER.

Easy sneaking
If you put the Angry Ped cheat on then go to the Military base the soldiers will be killing each other, and it makes it easier to sneak in. This helps a lot at the end of the game when you can get an Apache.

Fast cars and SUVs
When you finish all the SunShine Auto missions you get fast cars and a monster truck SUV.

Change size of moon
Shoot the moon with your sniper rifle to make it change size!

Easy PCJ 600
There is a place where there is always a PCJ 600. First go to the greesy choppers place. Directly across the street there is two windows that can be broken. Break the window to the right and there will be a PCJ 600.

Fast tank
To make the tank go faster, turn the turret backwards and fire in rapid succession. You can now move faster than any other vehicle. It works on water too.

Get Coast Guard Boat
Start from the cherry popper Ice Cream Shop and head south. You should pass a bridge on your left and then soon on your left you should see a narrow brown dock right next to the water. In the water below the front of the dock is a boat. Go to the edge and look down. You will see it. Do not jump from there though. You must jump from the south of the boat because you will fall in the water any other way. You may drown the first couple of times but once you finally get it you will have the coast guard boat!

Get Extra Money For Good Citizen
When you kick a bad guy you will get the sign that says good citizen. After you get your money, wait until the numbers stop moving. Then kick him again. Do this repeatedly until the body disappears.

Get a hummer
Go to Phil's Place to the North of Little Haiti and go into his big garage and you will find a Hummer siting right there in front of you!

Get An Apache
To get the apache first beat the game and go to the Fort baxter airbase behind the airport. Go to the back of the base and it should be sitting there. But be careful unless you're wearing a cop suit or you will be killed by the army guys.

Hidden Golfcart
Follow the path that goes out the lighthouse. When you cross the bridge and the path run next to the water. It will be in the frist bush straight ahead on the right.

Malibu Club performers
Go to the Malibu Club and check out the performers. They resemble the Village People.

See vampire
Go to the Malibu club and go upstairs to the little room. Now go to where the small boat is and look in the mirror.

Unlimited ammo
Any time during the game enter any of the three weapons cheats repeatedly until a weapon gets to 10,000 ammo. You will then notice there's no number of ammo left - you now have unlimited ammo on that weapon. You lose it if you die or get busted, so be careful!

Flying tank!
Press PANZER. A RHINO tank will be spawned. Enter it.(If the police starts chasing you press the "LEAVEMEALONE" cheat). Then press the SEAWAYS cheat. Drop the tank into the sea. You MUST stay in it. Press the COMEFLYWITHME cheat. Start asselerating by pressing the (up) button. Then press the num4 or the num5 button so the turret will turn backwards and start shooting. Continue shooting-no matter what your height-position is. If you follow all the steps correctly, the tank will start flying!

Go to any gun store and make sure you have a lot of money if want to buy an expensive weapon. keep buying and buying the gun you want until your ammo counter reaches full, buy one more gun of that type and the ammunition reader will disappear from that spot. if you already have that gun but have an uneven amount of ammo for it, keep buying it until you can buy no more, fire off a round and try to buy more, and keep doing this process until u can buy one more pack of bullets. unlimited ammo comes in handy quite often.

Invincible Car

Deliberately fail the mission 'Guardian Angels' for Colonel Cortez, either by letting the Haitian on the dirt bike get away or letting the Haitians kill Diaz. Then go up to Diaz's Admiral (Note: The car doors will be open) and get in, once in the car, crash it into a wall and you will see that there is no damage at all. This is a good car for when you have a load of cops on your tail as the Admiral will take no damage.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Hints

Secret Room

Go to the rooftop of the VCN building (on the second island) and walk to the closest wall facing the helipad (head West). There are a lot of windows on the wall but one leads to a secret room. It is the easiest one to reach but if you have trouble finding it look out for any little white dots on the wall, just jump through it and you appear in a small room with a chocolate Easter egg saying happy Easter.

This cheat only works with cars. Go put a car in a garage and than go get another. Go back to the garage with that car. Keep putting cars in until it says "This Garage is full" then park the nose of the car right in front of the garage and hop out. The garage should open. Then hope back into the car and quickly drive it into the garage. The garage door should be going up and down really quickly. Park your car in there and get out. Then go back into the garage and the car should be there. (Then save) I've been able to get 4 cars in one garage when it should only hold TWO!

The Big Bang

Ok do you want to get a little more explosions into your gaming on grand theft auto vice city? Well heres how you do it first find a safe place so cops cant get you (Hint: mansion by hospital best place) Then type the code PANZER multiple times till you think you have a decent number of spawn tanks (Hint:10 times should be enough to type in PANZER but if you want more go for it next keep a safe distance but stay close enough to view the explosion the type in the code BIGBANG and off the tanks go in a big explosion of fire and terror its fun try it.

Tip For 'Waste the Wife' Mission

Here's just a little tip if you're having problems with the 'waste the wife' mission (i.e your car blows up before hers does)
Answer the phone, listen to the call and get into the position either in a car or on a motorbike (motorbikes are easier) Watch the wife get in the car and drive off- chase her. She'll stop at some traffic lights, get close and jump off the bike (or out of the car) and quickly type in 'bigbang' her car and any other vehicle close by with explode. Instant mission success. Note: if you're in a car or on a bike when you type in the bigbang cheat then your car/bike will explode too, so it's best to get up close (without hitting her car otherwise she'll panic and flee) then jump out before typing the cheat. You'll still complete the mission, but you'll get wasted at the same time.)

Vehicle Repair

Tired of looking for payÃ½n spray? Well now you don't have to look for it. Buy a house with a garage and if your car is damaged you can put it in the garage and make the garage close. Then open it up and walla, your car is NOT damaged or broken. Also works on motorcycles. (does not work with the Rhino The Tank) And what i like most about it you can blow the car into pieces in your garage and open it up again and it's like new! (This is the best part) It's FREE!

For this mission, you need to go to the airport, kill some guy, and drive through a gauntlet of cops, cars, and machine guns. It is usually impossible, but there are a few alternatives. You can take the chopper from your mansion to the airport, fly to the airport, and then fly to the Amu-Nation. The other way is to run. Once you get the briefcase, go out of the airport and turn right on the road. Take the next left. After the turn, get on the next road and jump the rail. From there you are clear to run behind the junkyard and Phills place and come out from behind the Pizza place.

Ambulance Bonus

Ok, this is not a cheat but a hint that can help you a lot. If you are low on health, and you do not want to use health cheat codes, you find and ambulance. Then you get into the driver's seat and your health will raise by 20 percent. This helps you to stay alive longer without cheating!

Get the helicopter called "Hunter"

First you have to get the cop uniform at Washington Beach's police Station (notice that you have to do a couple of missions to unlock the uniform) then go to Vercetti Estate your house after doing all missions to Diaz plus killing him and you will find a helicopter on the roof-it is a Maverick. Then fly to the back of the Airport and there would be the Army base (if not you went to another place). Then fly above the base and in the very back you will find this helicopter. It is very good in the Vigilante Missions.
Please Note - This helicopter is only found after you did all missions plus unlocked the 2 final missions (and brought the credits).

Safe Place

Ok. To do this hint you have to start a new game. Do the missions till you get to one called "The Party". Then when you go to pick up the girl go get a wanted star or 5 and there will be a car parking place. Go in there and you can hide. Cops will not come in here.

Change the Size Of the Moon

At night, get you're sniper and shoot the moon, its size will change! Make sure to use you're sniper otherwise it will not work.
