Many people out there do not know the real difference between the vintage and antique home décor styles. In fact, some think that the two mean the same thing…which is not true. Antique refers to anything which is believed to be more than 100 years old. Therefore, an antique home décor is traditional style that originated somewhere more than 100 years ago.

In fact, you will find that the definition of this term vintage may vary from one dealer to the other as well as from one person to the other. However, for purposes of home decor, vintage refer to something not more than 25 years old.

Therefore, a vintage home décor is fairly old and fairly recent. Therefore, if you want home décor style which is a blend of traditional and modern home décor, you should go for the vintage style. If you want something which is truly old and traditional, then you should go for the antique home décor style.
